🍑 August is National Peach Month! 🍑

Today, residents had a “peachy keen” time learning fun facts and trivia while enjoying warm peach cobbler topped with delicious vanilla ice cream! 🍨

Angie Boyarsky from Ardent Hospice & Palliative Care shared that there are more than 700 varieties of peaches and that China is the world’s largest producer. Executive Director, Larissa Kostal joined the fun and revealed another surprising fact: although Georgia is known as “The Peach State,” South Carolina actually produces more peaches than Georgia and ranks second nationally—behind California! 🍑

Long ago, giving someone a peach was a sign of friendship and affection—helping inspire the sweet expression, “You’re a peach!” 🧡
