MOTORvate KIDS Occupational Therapy Provides occupational therapy services for children with sensory and motor skill challenges. Motorvate Kids operates on a private pay model.

Motorvate Kids OT is dedicated to inspiring a passion for participation in children who have difficulty keeping up with their peers due to sensory and motor challenges. Motorvate Kids provides personal attention and care to each child with intervention strategies that are fun, progressively challenging, and uniquely designed to meet each child's individual needs. Motorvate Kids OT offers screening

s, evaluations, individual therapy sessions and group clinics for children ages 3 to 12 with or without a diagnosis. Areas of focus include fine motor, visual motor, gross motor and sensory processing skills. Services are provided on site at preschools, daycares, private grade schools and in the home. The OT collaborates regularly with the parents, caregivers, and teachers to provide updates on progress and recommendations for strategies to be used at school and in the home. Sensory and motor challenges in children can often be mistaken as behavioral concerns, learning delays, or even lack of effort. An OT screening and evaluation sheds light on hidden skill weaknesses-- the first step toward improved skill performance, strengthened confidence, and motivated participation in new activities. Introducing Mindful Movers Camp by Motorvate Kids OT!
We are so excited to offer this high-energy summer camp experience designed to help kids build confidence, connection, coordination, and emotional regulation skills through movement, rhythm and teamwork!
Mindful Movers Camp is a 4-day camp designed and led by our Motorvate occupational therapists for rising 5th–8th graders. Through cooperative games, rhythmic movement activities, and team-building challenges, students will strengthen foundational motor planning, coordination, body awareness, and social emotional skills — all while having FUN.
Throughout camp, students will engage in conversations facilitating problem-solving ideas for everyday challenges. Students will be introduced to practical regulation strategies commonly used in occupational therapy to support:

✔ sensory regulation
✔ focus, grit and confidence
✔ effective communication
✔ positive response to challenge and competition
Families will receive feedback and resources after each session to continue supporting these skills at home.
Camp Details:
📍 Murrells Inlet Community Center: 4462 Murrells Inlet Rd.
📅 July 14–17, 2026 (Tuesday-Friday)
⏰ Includes Four 90-minute sessions
💲 Cost: $140
Students will be grouped by age and compatibility to help create a successful and engaging group experience.

Once your Interest Form is complete and students are placed in groups, we will send you a registration form with your child’s session time. We cannot wait to move, connect, grow, and get in rhythm together this summer! 💛

💻 "Computer technology will replace handwriting." We hear it all the time! But kids still need to write in school, and for many, it’s a struggle filled with frustration and resistance. So, if handwriting seems less important, why should we care?

Let’s pause and ask: Why the frustration? What’s stopping kids from mastering a skill that seems second nature to us?

✍️ Handwriting is more than just pencil and paper — it’s a complex brain function involving visualization, memory, and sensory processing. When writing feels hard, it’s often because these foundational skills haven’t become automatic.

Starting with basic shapes lays the foundation for smooth, fluent handwriting later on. It’s about setting up kids for success one step at a time!
