We had the pleasure of spending time with YMCA campers, introducing them to the fascinating world of gold, gemstones, and jewelry making.

From designing their own pendants to learning why gold has been treasured for thousands of years and even trying their hand at panning for gold - it was wonderful to see so much curiosity, creativity, and excitement.

At Petra Star, we believe jewelry is more than something beautiful to wear. It's history, science, craftsmanship, and storytelling all woven together. Sharing that passion with the next generation was truly a joy.

Campers learned why 24K gold is soft and malleable, why most jewelry is made in 14K gold, and how gold has been treasured for thousands of years. They also designed their own pendants and discovered why recycling gold is one of the most sustainable ways to create beautiful jewelry.
