💙 Wellness Wednesday 💙

Wellness isn't something you achieve once—it's a commitment you make to yourself every single day.

Recovery is strengthened by the choices we make consistently, not perfectly. Taking care of your mental, emotional, and physical well-being creates the foundation for lasting change.

This week, focus on the basics:
🧠 Clear your mind by practicing gratitude and staying present.
🍎 Nourish your body with healthy food and plenty of water.
🚶 Move your body, even if it's just for a few minutes.
🤝 Stay connected with people who support your recovery.
❤️ Give yourself grace. Healing isn't about perfection—it's about progress.

Every healthy choice you make today is an investment in the life you're building tomorrow.

Trust the Process.

💬 What is one wellness habit that's made the biggest difference in your recovery or overall well-being? Share it in the comments—we'd love to hear from you!

🦬 Reflection Sunday 🦬

There’s a reason the buffalo has become a symbol of resilience.

It doesn’t waste its energy running from every challenge. It stays grounded, keeps moving, and trusts its strength.

Recovery is much the same.

There will be moments when life feels uncertain. There will be days when the path ahead isn't clear. But every decision to stay sober, ask for help, set healthy boundaries, and keep showing up is evidence that you're becoming stronger than the obstacles in front of you.

You don't have to have all the answers today. You just have to keep taking the next right step.

As you prepare for a new week, remember:
🦬 Strength is built through consistency.
🦬 Growth happens one choice at a time.
🦬 You are capable of more than your past would have you believe.

Take a few minutes today to reflect on where you started and how far you've come. The journey may not always be easy, but it is worth every step.

What is one way you've grown since beginning your recovery journey? Share it below and encourage someone else who may need the reminder today.

☕🐾 Funny Friday 🐾☕

Living Alumni

I used to overthink...

Now I over coffee. 😎

Recovery has a funny way of changing our priorities. What used to feel like a crisis now feels like something that can be handled after a cup of coffee, a conversation with a friend, and a good night's sleep.

Turns out, peace of mind is a lot better than constantly living in chaos.

Today we are honored to share a piece written by a current participant in treatment who wanted others to know they are not alone in the struggle that comes with change.

Recovery often feels like "swimming against the tide." Choosing growth, accountability, and healing can feel harder than staying where we are. Yet every day someone chooses to keep swimming.

Thank you to the author for sharing a part of their story and reminding us that recovery begins with a single decision:

"Day 1: I Choose The Good Life."

💙 Wellness Wednesday 💙

Recovery isn't built in a single breakthrough—it's built in the small choices you make every day.

Sometimes the most powerful things you can do are also the simplest:
💧 Drink more water.
☀️ Step outside for a few minutes.
🚶 Move your body.
🤝 Reach out to someone who supports your recovery.
❤️ Give yourself the same grace you would offer a friend.

These daily habits may seem small, but over time they strengthen your mind, body, and recovery. Progress isn't measured by perfection—it's measured by showing up for yourself, one day at a time.

Today, ask yourself:
What's one healthy choice I can make before the day is over?

Share your answer in the comments. Your commitment might be exactly the encouragement someone else needs today.

🌅 Reflection Sunday – July 12

Every sunrise is a reminder that we get another chance.

Recovery isn't about never making mistakes—it's about choosing to begin again. Whether you've had a great week, struggled through challenges, or simply did the best you could, today is a fresh opportunity to reset your focus.

You don't have to carry yesterday's regrets into tomorrow's possibilities.

Take a few moments today to slow down and ask yourself:

🌿 What am I grateful for today?
🌿 What have I learned about myself this week?
🌿 What is one thing I can do this week to strengthen my recovery?

Healing doesn't happen all at once. It happens one choice, one conversation, one healthy habit, and one day at a time.

No matter where you are on your journey, remember this:

You are not defined by your worst day. You are defined by your willingness to keep moving forward.

As you step into a new week, give yourself permission to grow, to learn, and to believe that your best days are still ahead.

💬 Reflection Question:
What is one goal you're setting for yourself this week? Share it in the comments and let's encourage one another.

🌿 Sober Life Saturday – July 11

Theme: Build a Life You Don't Want to Escape From

Recovery isn't just about staying sober.

It's about building a life that feels worth waking up for.

That might mean reconnecting with family, discovering a new hobby, hiking Idaho trails, laughing with friends, volunteering, learning a new skill, or simply enjoying a peaceful morning with a cup of coffee.

Sobriety gives us the opportunity to create a life based on purpose instead of survival.

This weekend, challenge yourself to do one thing that supports the life you're building—not the life you're leaving behind.

Small, healthy choices become lasting habits, and lasting habits create lasting recovery.

💬 What are you doing this weekend that's good for your recovery?
Share it in the comments—you might inspire someone else to try something new.

Remember...
Recovery isn't about what you gave up. It's about everything you've gained.

💙 Trust the Process.

Living Alumni

My recovery plan for today:

☑ Wake up
☑ Stay sober
☑ Be awesome
☑ Repeat as needed

Some days recovery isn't about doing something huge. It's about showing up, doing the next right thing, and trusting the process one day at a time.

The good news? Those small daily choices add up to a pretty amazing life.

📋 Thinking About Treatment? Here's How to Get Started.

Taking the first step toward recovery can feel overwhelming—but it doesn't have to be.

At Tru Living Recovery, we've designed our admissions process to be simple, supportive, and focused on meeting you where you are.

Here's how it works:

📞 Step 1: Reach Out
Give us a call or send us a message. Our admissions team will answer your questions, explain our programs, and help determine the next steps.

📝 Step 2: Complete an Assessment
We'll schedule a confidential assessment to better understand your needs, goals, and history. This helps us recommend the level of care that's right for you.

💳 Step 3: Verify Insurance
Our team will verify your insurance benefits and explain your coverage before treatment begins. If you don't have insurance, we'll discuss available options with you.

🤝 Step 4: Begin Your Recovery Journey
Once everything is in place, we'll help you get started with treatment and connect you with a team that's committed to your success.

You don't have to have everything figured out before you call.

You just have to take the first step.

💙 Wellness Wednesday 💙

Recovery isn't just about staying sober—it's about learning to take care of yourself in ways that support your mind, body, and spirit every day.

Sometimes wellness looks like drinking enough water, getting outside for a few minutes, taking a walk, reaching out to someone who understands, or simply giving yourself the same compassion you so freely give to others. Small, consistent choices create lasting change.

This Wellness Wednesday, take a moment to check in with yourself:
💧 Have you hydrated today?
🌿 Have you stepped outside for some fresh air?
🚶 Have you moved your body?
🤝 Have you connected with someone supportive?
❤️ Have you shown yourself a little grace?

Remember, recovery isn't about perfection—it's about progress.

Trust the Process. 💙
