Good morning everybody,
I just called Linden Oaks. They are unable to accommodate evening support groups. They don't have someone to do temperature and questionnaire screening as they do during the day.
As the state moves into Stage 4, they will reevaluate and get back to me.I
If you would like to participate in our Zoom Meetings, please contact me at [email protected] and let me know that you agree to the following:
MEETING GUIDELINES
This is a meeting for adults with a diagnosis or symptoms of ADHD.
Confidentiality is NON-Negotiable. Our rules:
No one but participants can see your screen or hear other members of the group. It may be helpful to use headphones.
Do not take pictures or screenshots. That would be like bringing a camera to an AA meeting.
Delete any thread from your device that shows participants or content.
When you do consent to the above, I will send you the meeting credentials. If you do not agree with the rules, do not join the meeting.
Ways to join the group:
Preferred: From the Zoom app or the Zoom website. Enter the Meeting ID and Password.
You can also look on Zoom's website for call in numbers
When prompted, enter the meeting ID and hit #
When Prompted enter the password and hit #.
You can mute and unmute yourself by pressing *6
You will enter the Waiting Room, and will be admitted to the meeting by the moderator.
If noises/speaking from others causes video switching the moderator may “Spotlight” the person taking their turn or mute members who are not checking in.
A “Check-in” is sharing your recent challenges, victories and feelings with the rest of the group.
Check-in first, feedback later.
Five-minute limit. (Depends on the size of the group.)
Keep it personal and focused on your current challenges (not full history) related to ADHD.
Let’s not talk about “society”, culture, “they”, etc.
Avoid cross-talk, i.e. one conversation at a time. This is especially important online.
Don’t “should” on someone. We can share what has worked for us without telling others how to deal.
Please try to be supportive and non-judgemental.
Please refrain from activities that can be distracting to others when they are speaking or trying to listen.
We look forward to seeing you online and EVENTUALLY in person.
