The Compass Of SWFL

The Compass Of SWFL Our mission is to empower individuals and their loved ones by fostering a supportive and understanding community. Depressed by the current state of affairs.

Gulf Cost Counseling we and Addiction Resource Center does not discriminate against any person on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, veteran status, gender identity or sexual orientation. Video Teleconferencing-
Services may be provided through a secure video conferencing connection (sometimes called “tele-health”). Video teleconferencing minimizes barriers t

o accessing services. The greatest benefit of concierge care is that highly trained educated certified professional will help a valuate the individual needs and aspects to create a treatment plan models for a long-term recovery if detox is necessary we will find the right fit at home or in a center depending on clients names the, biggest benefit is aftercare. WIth concierge addiction therapy, clients can learn how to sustain their recovery while remaining in their usual community and home environment. We provide specific services based on holistic individualized treatment plans worked through with the client. Sometimes clients need support in their home for the transition out of a recovery program and to help support them and maintaining the long-term abstinence sometimes people need a recovery coach to travel with them to events in different situations that may be high risk for relapse in order to help coach them through these situations in real time, this provides the best skill set for the client to utilize the skills later in life having a learned them through the actions and behaviors in the virus prior to trying to do it on their own. Concierge therapy, however, allows therapists to spend more time getting to know their clients. As a result, therapists know their clients on a personal basis and can better tend to their individual needs. Although there is no cure for addiction, a treatment that is accessible around the clock is critical during the early stages of recovery. Addiction can be life-threatening, so having primary access to a concierge doctor can provide you with medical and psychiatric care when you need it the most. For people who are leaving a residential treatment program, the first days out of treatment can be overwhelming. A person may be faced with unexpected challenges, emotional triggers, or thoughts of relapse. To mitigate these situations, concierge aftercare assistance can help smooth out the transition from rehab back into a person’s life. We also offer a 24 hour call center open around the clock to help West Floridians and more find resources for mental health and substance abuse problems for individuals and families. Family therapy is a set of therapeutic approaches that attempt to use the family's strengths and resources to help them live without drugs or alcohol. It also seeks to reduce the harm of addiction on both the substance abuser and his or her family. We work on individual skills to help family and friends support the addicts By finding healing and recovery and themselves through the damaging the chaos the pain that her cause by the addiction and the family. We help put the tension on the needs of the family to get out of the crisis mode that the family has entangled in and begin to live their life free of the consequences of the addicts behavior. This is absolutely essential for recovery and addiction because the client then allowed the opportunity to take responsibility for their life and become the independent individual that their family always dreamed of them to be. It’s a very hard difficult process we never lie to anyone but the cold is with the release of responsibility of that loved one you empower them to take control of their life and we create a new dynamic in the family where codependency is no longer enabled. Life Coaching can help you transform and grow without fear and see your potential. Discovering ways to enhance your relationship with yourself and the world around you. You will come to a place of personal happiness with yourself and the world. Do you want continued growth and success in growing your businesses and leading your teams? Would you like to get unstuck, finally reach their goals, and know what they should do? Do you suffer from negative emotions such as frustration, anger, overwhelmed, or discouragement at your current situation in life? Do you get discouraged by circumstances and anxious about making changes? Feel under-appreciated and unmotivated. Feel stuck. For a long time, I was lost, not knowing what direction to take and how to develop my self-esteem. I lived toxic relationships, starting with the relationship with myself. I used to be in the front row, helping and pleasing others. All of this affected me in my personal and professional life. I know how life can be like a tornado, and you may feel like you're up in the sky or have been dropped into your life without any direction. Let me help you. Call my office today to see how we can offer the guidance you need.

Emotional abuse doesn’t always leave visible scars—but that doesn’t make it any less real.

It can sound like constant criticism, silent treatment, manipulation, or being made to feel “too sensitive” for simply expressing your feelings. Over time, it chips away at your confidence, your sense of self, and your ability to trust your own thoughts.
What makes it especially hard is that it often hides behind excuses: “I was just joking,” “You’re overreacting,” or “I only said that because I care.” But love should never make you feel small, confused, or afraid to speak up.

If you’ve ever questioned your worth because of how someone treats you, pause and remember this: respect, kindness, and emotional safety are not optional in any relationship they’re the baseline.

If this resonates with you, you’re not alone. Talking about it is not weakness. It’s the beginning of reclaiming your voice.

Happy Valentine's Day... to ME! 💖
My Sobriety/Clean date is February 14th, 2009, and after all these years, I can finally say my longest committed relationship is with the NA program.

That date marks over 16 years of daily recovering: my sanity, my credit score, my ability to look my family in the eye, and the general peaceful feeling of knowing where my keys are. We truly do recover so much!

Here’s the best part: We're all on this never-ending road together. There's no fast lane, just a great, big, beautiful program gifted to us. Sometimes I meet people who don't use but definitely need a program that's how good this gift is!

Happy Good Grief Day! 🎈

Today, November 26th, marks the birthday of the legendary cartoonist Charles M. Schulz, the creative genius behind Peanuts.

While we celebrate the joy he brought us, this day also carries a deeper meaning, inspired by his most beloved, perpetually stressed character: Charlie Brown, and his famous exclamation, "Good grief!"

"Good grief!" is a perfect acknowledgment of life's little (and big) letdowns.

Today, we're renaming it:
A Day for Acknowledging Grief. 🖤
Grief isn't just about major loss; it's the quiet sadness over missed opportunities, changes in routine, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life. Today is your permission slip to:
Acknowledge the "grief" you're holding—no matter how big or small.
Process those feelings, whether through talking, writing, or quiet reflection.
Be gentle with yourself, just as Schulz's characters were often gentle with each other.

Take a moment today to truly feel it, let out your own "Good grief!", and then take a step forward. You're not alone.
