Happy Father’s Day weekend to my husband—the steady hand, and the loving father our girls adore. Watching you love and lead our family is one of God’s greatest gifts to me.

As a doula, I have the privilege of witnessing the incredible role fathers play during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. A supportive, present dad can make all the difference, and I’m especially thankful for the one I get to do life with every day.

Sometimes being a doula isn’t about knowing exactly what to say. Sometimes it’s simply about holding her hand, and reminding a mama that she doesn’t have to walk through labor alone. It’s an honor to sit beside women as they welcome new life into the world.🤍

A Prayer for the Postpartum Mama

Heavenly Father,

Thank You for the precious gift of motherhood, and the mama You have carried through pregnancy and birth. As she steps into this new season, surround her with Your peace, strength, and grace.

When she is weary, be her rest.
When she feels overwhelmed, be her comfort.
When doubts creep in, remind her that You have equipped her for this calling.

Lord, heal her body, renew her mind, and protect her heart. Help her to give herself the same compassion she so freely gives to her little one. Remind her that she does not have to be perfect—only faithful.

In the long nights and early mornings, let her feel Your presence. Fill her home with patience, joy, and love. Strengthen her relationships and place supportive people around her who will encourage and care for her.

May she know that her worth is not found in how much she accomplishes, but in whose she is.

Bless this mama, bless her baby, and bless the family You are growing through this beautiful season.
