one thing i can’t recommend enough —

if you’re going to have all your people together, please document it.

carve out 45 minutes and just capture it.
i know family dynamics are layered.
but what about outfits?
and schedules?
and a thousand things.

yes, it’ll take effort.
but your effort will give you evidence of all of you for. the. rest. of. your. lives. AND theirs AND everyone who comes after you.

it’s worth it.

(and with anything in life — don’t ever let effort steal you from the reward 🫶🏻).

in case you’re also needing some outfit inspiration for your sessions coming up — here are some of my favorites!

(also did you know i help with this for your session?!?? you’re not alone in the process friend!!)

some quick recommendations:
• pick mommas outfit first! whatever will make you feel the most radiant in this season and be comfortable (standing and sitting and moving)!
• then pick some of the main coordinating colors and start looking for your kiddos!
• add texture, patterns and different fabrics into the mix (linen, stripes, knit, etc.)

i keep thinking about the idea that my job is to document your favorite days and people 🥹⁣

one thing that rises to the top around wedding days is that it isn’t just one big photo shoot where you go from one picture to the next. ⁣

but that it’s a documentation of the day you lived with your favorite people! ⁣
⁣
that you celebrated - and it was documented. ⁣
that you chose specific details - and they were documented. ⁣
that your brothers reacted to you when they first saw you as a bride - and it was documented. ⁣
that your girls helped you get that dress wherever you needed to go — and it’s documented. ⁣
that you wrote intentional letters to each other & prayed specific prayers over your marriage — and it was documented. ⁣
