Triggered Focal Point Massage

Triggered Focal Point Massage Precision Neuromuscular Massage Therapist, Stretch Facilitator, Creator of Freedom to Move Pain-Free Guide Books. After that, I may reconsider.

Helping people in pain get real, lasting relief and moving freely again using targeted Neuromuscular Massage Therapy + Mobility Work. I’m Kay, a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Stretch Facilitator, and creator of a movement-based mobility program. I specialize in Precision Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (PNMT)—a clinical approach to pain relief and movement restoration. My goal is to restore

balance, improve mobility, and enhance strength so you can perform at your highest potential. My work focuses on treating:

Chronic & acute pain

Soft tissue dysfunctions (limited mobility, joint restrictions)

Nerve-related conditions (sciatica, carpal tunnel, etc.) PNMT is a targeted, evidence-based therapy—not a relaxation massage. Through precise assessments and hands-on techniques, I work to correct muscular imbalances, release adhesions, and restore joint function for pain-free, optimal movement. As a Certified Stretch Facilitator, I integrate stretching to enhance flexibility, reduce tension, and support long-term mobility. I am also the founder of Freedom to Move Pain-Free, a structured mobility and movement program designed to maintain progress, build resilience, and eliminate movement limitations.

What I Do Wednesday
Most people think low back pain means the low back is the problem.

Sometimes it is.

But many times, I'm looking at the hips, glutes, sacrum, joint mechanics, movement patterns, and areas of protective tension that are forcing the low back to work harder than it should.

That's why my sessions aren't built around chasing symptoms. They're built around finding what is contributing to them.

Every treatment has a purpose. Every technique has a reason. Every session is built around helping you move better, not just feel better for a day or two.

That's what I do.

📱 Important Confirmations Update

I've recently updated my booking system, so you will start receiving appointment reminders from a new phone number:

(844) 732-1054

If you have an upcoming appointment with me, please do not ignore these texts. They are legitimate appointment reminders sent through my booking system.

A couple important things to know:

✔ These messages are automated reminders.
✔ This is NOT my personal phone number.
✔ Replies to those texts are not monitored.

You should also receive an email reminder. So if you do not receive the text message you should have gotten the email from calendly.

If you need to reach me directly, please continue texting my regular number.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please use the cancellation/reschedule link provided in your confirmation email.

The new system should make appointment reminders more reliable and help reduce missed appointments.

Please initial below that you've read and acknowledged this.

Thank you all for your patience as I continue improving things behind the scenes. 💖

This movement strengthens and improves control of the muscles responsible for holding your head upright throughout the day.

When these muscles become deconditioned, your body often starts relying on passive structures and compensation patterns to support your head position.

That's one reason stretching alone doesn't always create lasting change.

Mobility isn't just about creating space. It's also about teaching your body how to use that space.

Move slowly.
Lift with control.
Lower with even more control.
Quality over speed every time.

Have you tried neck-specific mobility work before?

This Active Cervical Flexion Stretch combines mobility and stretching into one movement.

Instead of simply pulling your head into a stretch, your arms provide gentle resistance while your neck muscles actively move through flexion and extension.

Why does that matter?
✅ Encourages active control through the movement
✅ Helps improve mobility throughout the range
✅ Creates a stronger connection between your brain and the muscles controlling your neck

Move slowly. Use light resistance. Let your neck do the work.

Have you tried active stretching before, or are you more familiar with traditional static stretching?

Shop Small Saturday Feature:
Rooted in Relief Magnesium Spray

The ache didn't start today. It started with all the little things your body has been handling for weeks.

Long shifts. Workouts. Stress. Poor sleep. Holding the same position for hours.

That's where my Magnesium Spray comes in.

Magnesium plays an important role in muscle function and relaxation, making it a popular tool for people dealing with muscle tension, cramps, and general soreness.

But, what I love most about this spray is its simplicity.

Just spray it on areas that hurt or feel overworked and let it absorb. No need to rub it in. I chose to because I'm spreading it across a larger area, but you don't have to.

Wonder what I do as a therapist???

Here I’m working on the infraspinatus. Part of the rotator cuff on the back of the shoulder that plays a huge role in:
✔ shoulder stability
✔ external rotation
✔ deceleration and control of movement
✔ overhead mechanics
✔ reducing excessive strain through the front of the shoulder

While maintaining pressure on the tissue, I’m having the client actively move through internal and external rotation instead of staying completely passive.

Movement under pressure changes the conversation between the nervous system, muscle tissue, and joint mechanics.

This helps:
• improve tissue glide
• reduce protective guarding
• expose restricted movement patterns
• improve neuromuscular control
• help the shoulder actively own its range of motion

Instead of simply “digging into knots,” the goal is improving how the shoulder functions as a system. That combination of manual therapy, active movement, motor control, tissue loading is a huge part of why what I do is so movement-focused. Because the goal is to help the body move better with less compensation and less irritation.

Most people rush straight to the “pull back” part of movements like this…

But the important part is what happens FIRST.

Let the band gently pull the shoulder into the stretch before you actively contract and pull yourself back into retraction.

That transition from passive stretch → active control is where a lot of shoulder mobility actually starts improving.

This isn’t just stretching. This is teaching the shoulder to control the range instead of just hanging out loosely inside it.

Move slowly. Breathe. Avoid shrugging the shoulders or arching hard through the low back.

You’ll usually feel this shift from: front of the shoulder/pecs/biceps → into the back of the shoulder and upper back as you actively retract.

Mobility isn’t just flexibility. Mobility is controlled movement.

More Sunday stretches and Mobility Monday drills coming every week.

Tabletop shoulder stretch variations like this are a great way to explore overhead shoulder mobility, thoracic opening, lat length, and even how your ribcage and spine move together.

The biggest thing with this movement is not forcing depth.
Some days your range will feel different than others. Instead of chasing the deepest position possible, focus on moving slowly, breathing fully, and paying attention to where your body naturally wants to stop or compensate.

You should typically feel this through the shoulders, lats, sides of the ribcage, upper back, and sometimes even into the triceps depending on your arm positioning and structure.

As you sink back, think about creating space through the front of the shoulders rather than collapsing into the stretch. Let your breath help you settle into the position little by little.
Explore it.
Adjust it.
Move around in it.
Notice what changes.
Mobility work is less about forcing and more about learning how your body moves. 💖

If you’ve been enjoying these Sunday stretches, don’t forget I also have:

📖 The Shoulder Mobility Guide (digital download)
📖 The Comprehensive Mobility & Control Guide (printed full-body guide)
Link in the comments.

I’ll also be back tomorrow evening with a shoulder-focused mobility movement.

And remember, I'm be here every Sunday and Monday sharing stretches and mobility work to help you move and feel better long-term.

Look what showed up when I got done with sessions today!!! 🙉🙉🙉

15 more copies of the Comprehensive Mobility & Control Guide… and they came a day early!!!

Three were presold, which means I currently have 12 available and ready to go.

Hearing the feedback that’s already come from these has been truly amazing. I'm beyond grateful to everyone who has supported the guides so far, shared them, reviewed them, and trusted me enough to bring one home. It genuinely means more than you know. 💖

The Comprehensive Mobility & Control Guide is $50.

If you'd like me to hold a copy for you, payment can be sent through Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App. Or, if you'd rather pay cash, you're welcome to do so at your next session if copies are still available.
