Triggered Focal Point Massage and Mobility

Triggered Focal Point Massage and Mobility Helping people move better through precision neuromuscular massage therapy, assisted stretching, and mobility. Author of the Freedom to Move guide series.

I’m Kay, a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Stretch Facilitator, and creator of a movement-based mobility program. I specialize in Precision Neuromuscular Massage Therapy (PNMT)—a clinical approach to pain relief and movement restoration. My goal is to restore balance, improve mobility, and enhance strength so you can perform at your highest potential. My work focuses on treating:

Chronic &

acute pain

Soft tissue dysfunctions (limited mobility, joint restrictions)

Nerve-related conditions (sciatica, carpal tunnel, etc.) PNMT is a targeted, evidence-based therapy—not a relaxation massage. Through precise assessments and hands-on techniques, I work to correct muscular imbalances, release adhesions, and restore joint function for pain-free, optimal movement. As a Certified Stretch Facilitator, I integrate stretching to enhance flexibility, reduce tension, and support long-term mobility. I am also the founder of Freedom to Move Pain-Free, a structured mobility and movement program designed to maintain progress, build resilience, and eliminate movement limitations.

If your neck and shoulders feel tight, try this.

This position targets the muscles running from the upper shoulder into the neck, including the upper trapezius and levator scapulae.

Keeping the shoulder anchored down while you rotate and bring your chin toward the opposite armpit creates separation between the shoulder blade and the cervical spine, increasing the length through those tissues instead of allowing the shoulder to follow your head.

That matters because restrictions here can limit comfortable neck movement and contribute to that familiar “tight” feeling across the top of the shoulder.

Today we're creating the range.

Come back tomorrow for Mobility Monday to work on controlling that range, Wednesday to see how I address neck and shoulder restrictions in the clinic, and Friday as we start a brand new movement theme.

Just a little small business owner humor for your Friday. 😂

I've been taking a little social media break, but I'll be back with regularly scheduled content next week. 🌿

Apparently the entire “we” needed a minute. 😂

Three years ago this week, I came back.

There was a point when I genuinely believed I was done with massage forever.

After years of working through pain, my body finally reached a point where I couldn't keep doing it. I had to walk away from a career I loved, and for a few years, I thought that was simply how the story ended.

Then I finally got answers.

After 26 years of living with pain and symptoms, I was diagnosed with Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and underwent surgery.
And three years ago this week, I reopened my doors.

I didn't know then what coming back would look like. I just knew I had been given the chance to do it.

Three years later, I'm not only practicing again. I've completely changed the way I think about pain, movement, treatment, and what I want my work to accomplish.

I know what it's like to hurt.

I know what it's like to adapt your entire life around what your body will let you do.

I know what it's like to keep looking for answers when you feel like no one is really hearing you.

And I know what it's like to finally get your life back.

That's a huge part of why I care so much about helping people understand why they're hurting instead of simply helping them feel better for an hour.

I thought I had lost this career forever.

Turns out, I was just getting started. 💖

🥹 What an amazing review from someone who travels a long way to see me.

This right here is exactly why I do what I do. Being able to help people who have "tried everything" and nothing had worked until they found me.

Giving my clients a space where they feel heard and understood is something I'm extremely passionate about. I am truly grateful.

Thank you 💖

🏆 I got an award for June!

Thanks to Google views and reviews, Triggered Focal Point Massage and Mobility was recently recognized with a local business award for best Massage Therapist in Granby Township💚

Now I'm so close to qualifying for Best of Neosho, as well as Newton County, and every review helps.

If we've worked together and you enjoyed your session, I'd be so grateful if you'd take a minute to share your experience. Hearing what brought you in, what we worked on, and how you're feeling afterward not only means the world to me, but it also helps someone else who's searching for answers decide to reach out.

Every review helps a small business grow, and I truly appreciate every single one of you.

⭐ Link for your review in the comments.

Thank you for trusting me with your care and for supporting my dream. I couldn't do this without you. 💚

Mobility Monday

Friday's flow asked your hips to move through a large range of motion.

If one side felt harder than the other, limited hip mobility may have been the reason.

This drill improves hip mobility while teaching your body to actively control the movement, making the flow feel smoother the next time you try it.

Come back Friday as we start a brand new flow theme.

07/26/2026

If Friday's flow felt limited, start here.
These two stretches target different tissues that commonly limit hip mobility.

The couch stretch helps improve hip extension by lengthening the hip flexors, which can become stiff from prolonged sitting and make it difficult for the hip to move freely.

The elevated hamstring stretch with a cross-body reach adds length through the hamstrings while introducing spinal rotation, helping improve the mobility needed for smoother movement through the entire posterior chain.

Creating more mobility through the hips can reduce compensation elsewhere and make Friday's flow feel smoother and more comfortable.

Come back tomorrow for Mobility Monday as we learn to control this new range. Wednesday, I'll show you how I address these same hip restrictions in the clinic. Friday, we'll kick off a brand new movement theme.
