The truth is, recovery looks different for everyone.

For Sarah, a stroke survivor and former ballerina, movement has always been deeply personal.

After her stroke, Sarah began working toward movement in new ways at NeuroAnimatioin. Now, the movements she’s slowly getting the hang of again mean she gets a part of herself back.

“I’m halfway there.”

During Stroke Awareness Month, stories like Sarah’s are a reminder that recovery is not one-size-fits-all, and meaningful progress takes many different forms.

See what’s still possible when movement begins to feel like yours again.

Years after stroke, Beth is still unlocking gains she was told not to expect.

After being told she may never walk again, she went on multiple three-mile hikes. She regained movement in her arm. She started using her affected hand in ways that once felt out of reach.

That’s function, confidence, and independence all coming back.

Inside the NeuroAnimation Theater and beyond it, Beth kept challenging her brain to adapt. And step by step, she proved there was more still possible.

See what your brain may still be capable of.

When you’ve been told not to expect more, every new gain matters.

A hand opening again. A wrist moving more naturally. Answers coming quicker during a crossword. Feeling more confident in your own mind and body again.

These moments are measurable. But they’re also deeply personal.

Because every new movement, every clearer thought, every regained function is a reminder that the brain can still adapt.

And for the people experiencing it, those gains change what feels possible again.

The brain regained.

Years after stroke, Maddi’s dominant left hand is still gaining function.

Not vague progress. Real, measurable change. Using her hand more naturally, holding objects with more confidence, and regaining control she was told not to expect.

That’s huge.Because when new movement shows up years later, it challenges the idea that the brain is done changing.

See what gains may still be waiting for you at NeuroAnimation.

A stroke can change nearly every part of your life.
ă…¤
Not just physically, but mentally too.
ă…¤
For Sarah, the challenge wasn’t always what she physically could or couldn’t do. Physically, she was capable.
ă…¤
The challenge was believing it was still possible for her.
ă…¤
That’s what made NeuroAnimation different.
ă…¤
It helped shift the focus from limitations to possibility. From what recovery used to look like to what life could still become.
ă…¤
Because recovery isn’t only about rebuilding movement. It’s also about rebuilding confidence, mindset, and belief in what’s still possible.
