How do you explain heaven to a child after someone they love dies?

Children deserve truthful, age-appropriate answers spoken with compassion and love. That is why I wrote Georgie the Giraffe: Nene Goes to Heaven.

This gentle Christian children’s book helps families talk about death, grief, and the hope of heaven. Written for children ages 4–8, it offers comfort while opening the door for the questions little hearts may be carrying.

How do you explain heaven to a child after someone they love dies?

After the sudden loss of my mother-in-law, our family was faced with helping a little girl understand what had happened. I searched for a Christian children's book that explained heaven with both honesty and hope, but I couldn't find the one I was looking for.

So I wrote it.

Georgie the Giraffe: Nene Goes to Heaven is a Christian picture book for children ages 4-8 that helps families talk about death, heaven, and the promise that love never ends.
