Before turning your horse out on those lush green pastures this spring, keep this in mind:

Spring grass is high in sugars (NSC, or Non-Structural Carbohydrates), which can overwhelm your horse's system and increase the risk of digestive issues and laminitis.

𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐨:
● Wait until grass is at least 6 inches tall before turning horses out on it
● Introduce pasture time gradually
● Consider using a grazing muzzle
