🦕 It's officially summer — and I have some exciting news to share!
"Unearth a Story" is the national summer reading theme for libraries across the U.S. this year, centered on discovery, paleontology, archaeology, genealogy, and uncovering hidden histories. When I heard this year's theme, I couldn't believe how perfectly it embodied my life's passions.
I spent 35 years as a consultant micropaleontologist in the oil industry, retiring in 2020 — and I've been collecting fossils for more than 40 years. Family history has been an equally lifelong passion, which led me to found Heritage With Heart, where I love bringing the past to life — one ancestor at a time.
This year's theme inspired me to launch a brand-new program: Fossil Fascination — a hands-on experience featuring real fossils spanning from 3.5 billion years ago to 10,000 years ago. See prehistoric life up close, including trilobites, a dinosaur egg, ammonites, fossilized p**p (coprolite 😄), megalodon teeth, and so much more!
I offer two program versions — ages 6–12 and ages 13 to adult — both featuring the same hands-on fossil experience, tailored to be age appropriate.
