What is Reiki for pets—and what isn’t it?
After sharing my Animal Reiki Master certification, I was genuinely touched by how many people expressed interest and curiosity. So, I wanted to begin Coydog Wellness with a clear, honest introduction to the practice.
Reiki is a gentle, noninvasive form of complementary support centered on the individual animal’s comfort, choices, and well-being. Pets do not need to understand the process, remain still, accept touch, or behave in any particular way. They are always free to rest, move around, play, eat, or disengage.
Every animal’s experience is individual. Some become noticeably relaxed or sleepy, while others continue their normal activities or show only subtle changes. Reiki does not diagnose or treat illness, guarantee a particular result, or replace veterinary or behavioral care.
At Coydog Wellness, honesty, animal agency, and compassionate support come first—including being transparent about what we observe, what we cannot know, and when other professional care is needed.
Over the next few posts, I’ll explain how distance Reiki works, what to expect from a session, and how Reiki may fit alongside Coydog Wellness’s other services.
A limited number of reduced-price beta sessions will also be opening soon. You’re welcome to follow the Page, share this post with an interested pet guardian, or message me privately with questions.
