Another successful First Friday at New Orleans East Hospital!

This month’s First Friday focused on National Breastfeeding Awareness Month, bringing our community together for important conversations, education, and resources surrounding breastfeeding and maternal health. Attendees also had the opportunity to connect with our providers, participate in health screenings, get moving, and enjoy healthy refreshments.

That’s why every child and teen seen in our emergency department gets a token for a free book from our book vending machine at no cost. Just pick a book, any book, and take it home.

Construction continues at New Orleans East Hospital as we invest in spaces that better serve our community.

As part of our Behavioral Health Unit project, renovations are underway in the hospital café. Beginning Tuesday, August 11, the grill area will have temporary service changes, but the café will remain open throughout construction.
