Dear Friends,

Thank you to everyone who took the time to submit nominations for the 2026 NOLA Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness (SHAAD) Awards Gala. We were humbled by the overwhelming response and inspired by the incredible individuals and organizations nominated for their dedication to HIV prevention, treatment, advocacy, education, and community service.

Now it’s your opportunity to help recognize these outstanding leaders.

Voting is officially open on July 19, 2026!

Please scan the QR code on the attached flyer to cast your vote for this year’s nominees.

We also ask that you share this email, the attached flyer, and the QR code with your family, friends, coworkers, organizations, and social media networks. The more people who participate, the more we can celebrate those making a lasting impact throughout our community.

Thank you for supporting NOLA SHAAD and for helping us honor the champions working every day to end HIV stigma and improve the lives of those affected by HIV.

We look forward to celebrating with you at the NOLA SHAAD Awards Gala!

With gratitude,

The NOLA Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness (SHAAD) Planning Committee

Pull up, vibe out, and leave with knowledge that could change—and even save—your life.

Join us for NOLA Southern HIV/AIDS Awareness Week, where we’re bringing together community, culture, conversation, and education. Whether you’re living with HIV, HIV-negative, or simply want to learn more, there’s a place for you.

We’ll talk about:
✨ HIV prevention
✨ HIV treatment
✨ U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable)
✨ PrEP & PEP
✨ Resources, support, and real conversations

No judgment. No stigma. Just good people, good vibes, and information that empowers us all.

Because when our community learns together, our community grows stronger together.
