Sunday Self-Care: Remember to take some time slow down, rest and pause. We push hard all week, constantly feeling the pressure to be productive... rest seems counterintuitive. Meanwhile, our body-mind-spirit needs respite to refuel and rejuvenate. Gentle ideas: recline on the couch or a comfy chair, maybe outside in the sun, with a book or a cuddly furry friend. Place one hand on your heart and take a few deep breaths. It’s ok to just Be...you have permission.

Mental Health Awareness begins with taking deep conscious breaths. Check-in a few times a day and ask: Where am I breathing? From my chest or belly? Is my breathing shallow or deepening? Conscious breathing doesn’t take much to check in and regulate especially when feeling stressed or overwhelmed.

2 days at Green Chimneys in Brewster NY. I’m starting my journey towards education and training in animal assisted therapy which is now being called human-animal interaction….I’ll be training with horses and farm animals. So Excited!! Amazing how just spending so much time in nature with animals and people and professionals with the same passion was so uplifting.

What is Narcissistic abuse and How does it harm those affected by it in interpersonal relationships (the short of it):

Narcissistic abuse is a form of emotional abuse characterized by manipulation and control tactics used by someone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD); or an antagonistic and/or narcissistic personality style (a person doesn't have to have NPD). This abuse can manifest in various relationships, including romantic, familial, and professional ones. It significantly impacts victims, leading to confusion, anxiety, low self-esteem, and a distorted sense of reality. Victims may experience isolation, financial abuse, and even develop symptoms of post-traumatic stress.
