Postpartum Depression & Postpartum Anxiety: You Are Not Alone
Bringing a baby into the world is often described as one of life’s happiest moments—but for many parents, it can also bring unexpected emotional challenges.
Postpartum depression (PPD) is more than the “baby blues.” It is a treatable mental health condition that can include persistent sadness, hopelessness, loss of interest in things you once enjoyed, guilt, difficulty bonding with your baby, changes in sleep or appetite, and feeling overwhelmed.
Postpartum anxiety (PPA) is also common and may involve constant worry, racing thoughts, panic attacks, irritability, difficulty relaxing, or an overwhelming fear that something bad will happen to your baby or family.
These experiences are not a sign of weakness, failure, or being a “bad parent.” They are common, treatable conditions influenced by hormonal changes, sleep deprivation, stress, genetics, and life transitions.
✨ There is hope.
With evidence-based treatment—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), support groups, medication when appropriate, and compassionate support—most parents experience significant improvement and recovery.
You deserve support just as much as your baby deserves a healthy parent.
