Hello FB friends! Sorry to be MIA for so long.

Following the death of my beloved teacher, Mrs. Sanders, who planted seeds for all the transformations of my life, I've needed to take time to seriously reflect on my life's purpose and next steps.

To do this, I've had to go deep, deep, deep within, into that void of emptiness, from which fullness emerges.

This summer has been a time of surrender, of shedding several more skins, and getting closer to the core of my own being.

It has been a time of making space to be open to receive, in many ways, from the universe, and to learn lots of new things, leading to greater balance and wholeness, within and without.

For me, this has involved:

* READING lots of books ~ have been resonating so strongly with Think Like a Monk by the amazing Jay Shetty, especially how he writes:

"Ultimately death can be seen as the greatest reflection point - by imagining the last moment you can reflect on everything that leads up to it."

* LISTENING to tons of Jay Shetty podcast episodes ~ each one is such a gift, full of nectar for the soul

I really cherished meeting Jay in person on his incredible Love Rules Tour in Florida. He is even more humble, empathetic and awesome in person than he seems from afar.

It's so inspiring to see all he's doing to spread ancient wisdom far and wide, and never stop learning himself.

* DECIDING which Florida beach is my favorite

* DOWNLOADING my 3rd book: a seed Mrs. Sanders planted in her 'famous last words' to my soul when I last saw her 6 years ago, after releasing my first book

* PERFECTING the foundation for a classical Indian dance to the mantra that serves as the opening of my book, The Way of the Goddess (https://theancientway.co/wayofthegoddess)

* LEARNING from, collaborating with, and embodying more of my own Divine Masculine

* EARNING my yellow belt in TaeKwonDo

* CREATING 2 new transformational programs I can't wait to share about

* DEVELOPING new health issue-based Ayurvedic recipes

* STARTING a full-service publishing imprint to honor Mrs. Sanders' legacy and support the emergence of more voices in service of Truth and healing

I'm so behind on sharing many other things, but will do my best to catch up now!

So grateful to share that The Way of the Goddess won First Place in the BookFest Awards in Self-Help - Spirituality!

BookFest is the leader in virtual literary events and produces vital conversations on the world’s stage for those who love to read, and those who love to write.

The BookFest recognizes and promotes excellence in literature and elevates authors and creatives who contribute outstanding work to the literary world.

It was such an honor to be invited, as a First Place winner, to have my book featured on the renowned Nasdaq billboard in Times Square.

That is not very far from the Manhattan apartment where this book was birthed, during the pandemic.

While I wasn't able to make it to NYC for the date of the billboard opportunity (as it felt more important to me to attend my beloved teacher, Mrs. Sanders' funeral at that same time), it still feels magical to have been invited.

For me, however, fame and recognition was - and is - not at all the driver behind writing.

The journey of writing this book especially was unlike any other experience of my life.

It was very raw.
Mystical.
And powerful beyond words.

I didn't write thinking how many people my words may reach, or anything other than this was my way of digesting the traumas of my life and turning them into my medicine for liberation and Self-knowledge.

I wrote The Way of the Goddess because I felt it was what I ought to do, in service of the eternal victory of the light of the Ultimate Truth, which sets us all free.

I am grateful to be recognized for the hard work and dedication that went into creating The Way of the Goddess, not only by me, but by my entire team of editors (especially Julie Mosow), my literary agent Lisa DiMona, illustrator Gaby Gohlar, and so many others at Penguin Random House’s TarcherPerigee imprint.

Since publishing this second book, I have received countless inquiries for support from aspiring authors.

Just one hour after my beloved teacher, role model and inspiration, Mrs. Sanders, left her earthly body on June 3rd, I set an intention aloud into the universe to do whatever I can, as an instrument, to honor her legacy by empowering the liberation of more souls through writing.

As our words live on forever.

I feel deeply grateful that the universe responded so promptly to my clearly stated intentions just a couple weeks after I set them in the form of an abundance of resources to help you conceptualize, publish, and promote your own books.

If writing in service of Truth, healing, and spiritual liberation is something that speaks to you, I would love to support you with your creative endeavors.

Feel free to DM me your interest, and look out for much more to come on this soon.

Meanwhile, if you and/or your loved ones are ready to embark upon a profound journey of discovery that leads you, step-by-step, to become the hero of your own spiritual journey, do check out The Way of the Goddess: https://theancientway.co/wayofthegoddess.

With love,

ACCIDENT RECOVERY UPDATE: BROKE 2 BOARDS IN MARTIAL ARTS - 1 WITH MY HAND, 1 WITH MY FOOT!!

A few months ago, I shared with you my accident recovery protocols, emphasizing MOVEMENT AS MEDICINE... BOY IS IT truly!!!

Some of the things that have helped me most:

1) LISTENING TO MY BODY more than ever

2) WARM NECK WARMER infused with beautifully scented herbs

3) REGULAR MASSAGES for my neck

4) TAKING MOVEMENT WAYYY UP - as per my original protocol that ensured I did not take prescribed painkillers

Little did I know that, in addition to resuming classical Indian dance training, TAEKWONDO would be my way to go!

As a kid, I remember how intimidated I felt seeing kids trying over and over to break boards in karate classes in my grade school gym. Being a skinny little vegetarian Indian kid often picked last for sports, I never thought it was possible for ME to ever be a board chopping karate kid.

Flash forward a couple decades, I am back in the gym, a fresh new Taekwondo student, and there are those kids trying over and over to break the boards again!

All my resistances and blocks revisited.

"No way. I don't think it makes sense for me to even get the boards or try yet."

"No, Ananta, you CAN," my teachers said.

Remembering the Yogic teaching PRATIPAKSHA BHAVANAM, when disturbed by disturbing thoughts, think of the opposite, I put it into practice.

I told my subconscious, YES, I CAN, because I am not this body. I am the Self.

Try 1, the internal blocks were thick, and the board could not be broken. Before try 2, I strengthened my connection with my true Self and hammer punched it into 2! And broke the board 2 on try 1 with a push kick!

Ever since enrolling in Taekwondo, I stopped needing my neck warmer and massages. Taekwondo has become my therapy, refuge, pain relief, joy, voice activator and psychological breakthrough zone. I run, shout, keep up with and even get asked to LEAD kids half my age in combination kicks.

Feeling the POWER in my body was the most potent medicine in the recovery process. I'm so grateful to bring together my inner warrior with the way of the outer warrior.

More to come on all this, but gotta get to class now! 🙌🏽
