Happy Mother’s Day from 🌿 The Porch Therapy Studio 🌿

Today, we honor all the forms motherhood can take — the nurturing, the protecting, the showing up when exhausted, the healing, the grieving, the trying again tomorrow.

To the moms, stepmoms, grandmothers, foster moms, chosen mothers, pet moms, those longing to be mothers, and those carrying complicated feelings today: you matter here.

May you find moments of rest, gentleness, laughter, and support today — not because you have to earn it, but because you are human.

With warmth,
The Porch Therapy Studio 🤍

Sunday evening check-in 💛
Before the week starts again, take a moment to notice—
did you do anything for yourself this weekend?
It doesn’t have to be big. Even small things count.
Did you rest? Get outside? Say no to something?
I’d love to hear—what did you do for self-care this weekend?

Weekends don’t always feel restful—especially when you’re juggling everything all week.
Self-care doesn’t have to be anything big or fancy. Sometimes it looks like:
• Sitting quietly for a few minutes
• Saying no to one thing
• Going to bed a little earlier
Small moments of rest still count.
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to keep doing it alone. I’m here when you’re ready 💛

If your child gets really anxious before tests, you’re not alone.
Stomach aches, tears, shutting down, or saying “I can’t do it”—these are often signs of anxiety, not a lack of ability.
Many kids put a lot of pressure on themselves and don’t yet have the tools to manage those big feelings.
In play therapy, we help children build confidence, cope with stress, and feel more in control.
I currently have openings for children and families and would be happy to support you 💛

I have a few weekday daytime therapy openings available next week (virtual) 🌿
I work with women navigating stress, anxiety, and life transitions, as well as children who may be struggling with big feelings or behavior.
If you’ve been meaning to find a therapist but haven’t gotten around to it, this is a great time to get on the schedule.
