Care that puts the patient first.

At Total Care RX, we believe a great patient experience goes beyond filling a prescription. It’s about being accessible, responsive, and making sure patients can count on their pharmacy when they need us most.

Lead Pharmacy Technician of our Neurology Department, Sydney, shares what she believes makes a great patient experience: being able to reach someone on the phone, having a dedicated team instead of being passed from person to person, getting refills in a timely manner, and knowing your medications will arrive when you need them.

These may seem like simple things, but they can make a meaningful difference for patients managing complex conditions and medications. Our team is committed to making every interaction as seamless, personal, and dependable as possible.

World Heart ❤️ Day.

Understanding how complex conditions can affect multiple organ systems is an important part of specialized care. For individuals living with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC), the heart can be affected by cardiac rhabdomyomas and, in some cases, heart rhythm or conduction abnormalities. TSC can also affect the brain, kidneys, lungs, and other organs, making coordinated, specialized care especially important.

At Total Care RX, we understand that caring for patients with complex conditions means looking at the bigger picture. Our specialty pharmacy teams work alongside patients and their healthcare providers to support medication management and personalized care throughout their treatment journey.

This World Heart Day, we’re recognizing the importance of whole-person, specialized care, and the dedicated healthcare teams who make it possible. ❤️

Understanding Skin Symptoms of TSC

Tuberous Sclerosis Complex (TSC) can affect multiple organs and systems, including the skin. One common skin manifestation is angiofibromas, which can appear as small bumps on the face.

Our specialty pharmacy team understands the unique treatment needs of patients living with TSC and is committed to providing personalized support throughout their care journey. As Pharmacist in Charge and Director of Operations Alex Catege mentions, one way to treat TSC skin symptoms is with Hyftor® (sirolimus) topical gel, which helps reduce facial angiofibromas.
