πŸ’§ Stay hydrated.
🩺 Talk with your healthcare provider if fatigue persists or worsens.

🌱 DAY 10 β€” KNOW YOUR FOOD TRIGGERS

Everyone with UC is different. A food that bothers one person may be perfectly fine for another.

πŸ“ Keep track of foods that seem to affect your symptoms.
πŸ₯— Focus on foods your body tolerates well.
πŸ’§ Stay hydrated.
❀️ Don't unnecessarily restrict your diet.

πŸ’¬ LET'S TALK:
What food do you personally find hardest to tolerate with UC?

πŸ™πŸ½ β€œLord, give me wisdom to understand my body and make healthy choices. Amen.”

πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ DAY 9 β€” TAKE CARE OF YOUR MIND TOO

Living with Ulcerative Colitis can be stressful. Doctor appointments, symptoms, food choices, and worrying about flare-ups can take an emotional toll.

Stress does not cause UC, but managing stress may help you cope better with your condition and overall well-being.

🌿 TODAY'S SELF-CARE:

πŸ™πŸ½ Pray or meditate
πŸšΆπŸ½β€β™€οΈ Take a gentle walk if you feel well enough
🎡 Listen to calming music
πŸ“– Read something encouraging
πŸ’¨ Take a few slow, deep breaths
❀️ Give yourself permission to step away from stressful situations

You are caring for more than your gutβ€”you are caring for your whole self.

πŸ’¬ LET'S TALK:
What helps you relax when you're having a stressful day? 🌿

πŸ™πŸ½ β€œLord, give me peace in my mind, strength in my body, and wisdom to care for myself each day. Amen.”

πŸŒ™ DAY 8 β€” REST IS PART OF YOUR HEALING

When you live with Ulcerative Colitis, fatigue can be more than simply being tired.
Your body may need extra rest, especially when you're experiencing symptoms.

πŸ’š TODAY'S SELF-CARE:
😴 Aim for a consistent sleep routine.
πŸ“΅ Give yourself some quiet time before bed.
πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Take breaks when your body needs them.

🌿 Don't feel guilty for resting.
Remember: Rest is not laziness. Listening to your body is self-care.

πŸ’¬ LET'S TALK:
Does lack of sleep seem to make your UC symptoms or fatigue worse?
Share your experience below. Someone may be experiencing the same thing. πŸ’š

πŸ™πŸ½ β€œLord, give my body the rest it needs and give my mind peace when I need to slow down. Amen.”

🌱 DAY 7 β€” LISTEN TO YOUR BODY

Living with Ulcerative Colitis means learning that your body has a voice.

Some days you may feel great. Other days, your body may be telling you to slow down.

❀️ Pay attention to:

β€’ Changes in your bowel habits
β€’ Abdominal pain or urgency
β€’ Fatigue
β€’ Changes in appetite
β€’ Foods that seem to worsen your symptoms
β€’ Your stress and sleep

πŸ“ TODAY'S TIP:
Don't ignore changes in your symptoms. Write them down and share significant changes with your healthcare provider.

πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ SELF-CARE:
Give yourself permission to rest when your body needs it. Rest is part of caring for yourself, not a sign of weakness.

πŸ’¬ LET'S TALK:
What is one thing your body has taught you about living with UC? 🌿

πŸ™πŸ½ β€œLord, help me listen to my body, care for myself with patience, and recognize when I need help. Amen.”

🌱 DAY 5 β€” DON'T FORGET YOUR PROTEIN

When you live with Ulcerative Colitis, getting enough nutrition can sometimes be challenging, especially during a flare.

πŸ’ͺ🏽 Protein helps support your body's tissues and overall nutrition.

Try protein foods that you tolerate well, such as:

πŸ₯š Eggs
🐟 Fish
πŸ— Chicken or turkey
πŸ₯› Yogurt, if tolerated
🌱 Tofu eat with moderation; too much soy bean mess up your thyroids. Soy is added within a lot of the pre packaged foods
πŸ₯œ Smooth nut butter, if tolerated

During a flare, some people find certain foods harder to digest. There is no single UC diet that works for everyone.

🍽️ Simple meal idea:
Chicken + rice + well-cooked vegetables.

❀️ TODAY'S REMINDER:
Don't compare your diet to someone else's. Learn what works for your body and give yourself grace.

🌱 DAY 6 β€” FIBER: KNOW WHAT YOUR BODY TOLERATES

Fiber can be an important part of a healthy diet, but when you have Ulcerative Colitis, your tolerance may change especially during a flare.

πŸ₯• Some people tolerate well-cooked vegetables, oatmeal, bananas, or peeled fruits better than raw vegetables and foods with tough skins.

πŸ’‘ TODAY'S TIP:
Pay attention to how your body responds instead of following someone else's food list.

❀️ Remember: What works for someone else may not work for you.

πŸ™πŸ½ β€œLord, give me wisdom to understand my body and patience as I learn what nourishes me. Amen.”

πŸ’¬ LET'S TALK:
What is one high-fiber food that your body tolerates well?
Share it in the comments β€” your experience might help someone else. πŸ’š

🌿 YOUR UNIQUE HEALTH 🌿

🌱 DAY 4 β€” KNOW YOUR BODY: IDENTIFY YOUR PERSONAL TRIGGERS
Living with Ulcerative Colitis can sometimes feel like a guessing game:
β€œWhy did I feel fine yesterday, but not today?”
One helpful tool is a simple food and symptom journal. πŸ“
Everyone with UC is different. A food that causes problems for one person may be completely tolerated by another.
πŸ“ WHAT SHOULD YOU TRACK?
For the next few days, write down:
🍽️ What you ate
⏰ What time you ate
🚽 Bowel movements and symptoms
πŸ€• Pain or cramping
πŸ’¨ Bloating or urgency
πŸ’§ Fluids you drank
😴 How you slept
πŸ§˜πŸ½β€β™€οΈ Your stress level
πŸ’Š Medications and supplements
After several days or weeks, you may begin to notice patterns.
πŸ₯— DON'T FEAR FOOD
It's tempting to eliminate every food that you think might cause symptoms.
But unnecessarily restricting your diet can make it harder to get the calories and nutrients your body needs.
Instead of asking:
❌ β€œWhat foods can I NEVER eat?”
Try asking:
βœ… β€œWhat foods does MY body tolerate?”
And remember that your tolerance may change depending on whether you're in remission or experiencing active symptoms.

🌿 TODAY'S SELF-CARE
Take 5–10 minutes tonight to write down how your body felt today.
Don't judge yourself.
Don't blame yourself.
Simply observe and learn.
❀️ Your body is giving you information. Learn to listen to it.

🌿 REMEMBER:
A food journal can help you identify patterns, but it cannot determine whether your UC is active. If your symptoms are worsening or changing significantly, speak with your healthcare provider.
