She came to me in the middle of treatment, stuck in temporaries that were breaking every other week, frustrated, exhausted, and starting to lose hope she’d ever finish.
The sigh of relief and tears at the end is something my team and I won’t forget.
The temporaries honestly didn’t look bad. But dentistry isn’t just about how things look. The bite is everything when it comes to longevity.
To be fair, this was a tough case.
Her bite was completely collapsed, there was a significant cant(teeth leaning to one side) and a complex mix of implants and natural teeth. On top of that, she was traveling in from the Midwest for every visit so timing was important.
Instead of continuing down the same path, we stepped back and rethought everything, focusing first on building a stable, functional bite, then designing the aesthetics around it.
A case like this also requires a lot of patient education. Full mouth reconstruction is a big investment, and patients need to understand the “why” behind every step to feel confident moving forward.
The result is a smile that looks natural, feels balanced, and most importantly holds up.
Some patients go through a lot before they find us and place their trust in us. That’s something we never take lightly.
If you’ve been through a situation like this, we’re here to help.
