This one is special.

Two implants placed next to each other in the front of the smile created a difficult esthetic challenge. We needed to manage the proportions and contours of the implant teeth while making everything blend naturally across the smile.

When implants are already in place, their position dictates much of what comes next. The challenge is designing around those limitations while creating something that looks completely natural. Every decision in shape, proportion, contour, and ceramic becomes that much more important.

A lot of planning, a lot of communication, and an incredible collaboration with one of my master ceramists and friend Aram Torosian to bring this one together.

There’s a lot that happens before the final ceramics ever make it to the patient’s mouth.

What patients see is the final result. What they don’t see are the countless hours a master ceramist spends behind the scenes perfecting every detail by hand. It’s a level of craftsmanship that’s difficult to appreciate until you see what actually goes into creating each tooth. And most patients never see this part of the process. While they’re living their lives in their temporary veneers, this is the artistry that’s happening behind the scenes.

The goal isn’t simply to make beautiful teeth. It’s to create something that feels like it could have always been there. Nature as the inspiration. Art as the interpretation.

Men think about their smiles too. We just don’t talk about it as much.

A lot of my male patients want the same thing- they want to improve their smile but they don’t want it to look like they had their teeth done.

For this case, the goal wasn’t perfection or a dramatic transformation. It was to improve the proportions, symmetry and overall balance of the smile while keeping it masculine and natural.

The best compliment for work like this isn’t “Who did your teeth?” It’s “You look great.”

Complex cases don’t always have a quick fix, but they do have a path forward.

Read this carefully if you know you need dental work but feel overwhelmed by where to even begin.

This is phase one of a complex implant and veneer journey. The patient came to us with failing implants in the front of his smile. The situation had become so complicated that he spent years in decision paralysis, worried about what it would take to address it.

Rather than asking him to wait a year or more before he could feel good about his smile again, we came up with a creative way to get him there in stages- addressing the immediate problem while giving us the time to rebuild things properly.

Working together with our surgeon, we removed the failing implants and stabilized his smile with a long-term temporary bridge, along with what I’ll call “long-term temporary veneers” on the adjacent teeth.

This gave him a confident new smile now, while allowing us the time we need to rebuild what was lost around his implants before moving on to the final restorations.

While this isn’t the final result, it’s an important step toward it and even in the temporary stages, the goal stays the same: natural, balanced, and still you.

You don’t have to see the entire path to take the first step. Sometimes you just need a plan that makes that first step feel possible.

From good to great.

She already had a beautiful smile, but wanted it to feel brighter and still completely like her. Traditional whitening had never given her the result she was looking for, and a crown on one of her front teeth never felt like it truly belonged.

With 9 minimally invasive veneers and a replacement crown, we were able to give her the brighter smile she wanted while still preserving the depth, texture, and character that make natural teeth beautiful. Bright but not artificial. Elevated but still her. A great example of how getting veneers doesn’t have to mean creating an entirely different smile. Sometimes it’s simply about elevating what was already there.

A case where we converted composite veneers to porcelain veneers.

She originally had composite veneers done on 20 teeth elsewhwere and wasn’t happy with the esthetics.

Composite can be a great option in the right situation, and I use it myself. But for full smile makeovers, I prefer porcelain. Composite tends to stain and lose its polish more quickly, requires more maintenance over time, and it’s difficult to replicate the same depth, translucency, and natural appearance that we can achieve with porcelain.

A couple of years ago, she had her upper 6 front teeth redone beautifully with porcelain veneers by one of my favorite people and an incredible cosmetic dentist, Dr. Tomasulo.

When she was ready to complete the rest of her smile I added porcelain veneers to the two premolars on each side on her upper and converted the lower teeth to porcelain as well. The final change may be subtle to some, but it makes a big difference in overall harmony. The smile now feels more balanced and follows the natural curvature of the lower lip.

A lot of people don’t realize this.. in professions built on trust, connection, and first impressions, your smile becomes part of your brand.
