I’m watching the flowers being placed, the music playing, the photos displayed, the personalized details, my staff moving seamlessly—and the family finally seeing everything we discussed and planned come together.

Beyond the Books 📚💼 | Entrepreneurship: Creating a Business From the Ground Up

It’s always an honor to merge my careers—educating while sharing my real-life experience as an entrepreneur!

I had the pleasure of being a guest speaker at Beyond the Books, held at a local high school, where I introduced students to the basics of starting and managing a business—from the initial idea and registration to leadership, decision-making and managing money.

The fun part? Students created their own businesses and pitched them to me for my imaginary $1 MILLION investment! 💰😂 At least 10 businesses were “birthed” that day!

I ended by giving students a glimpse into my work as a funeral director, displaying industry products and demonstrating beautification techniques on a mannequin.

Beyond the books and into real life—on that particular day, they weren’t just students, they were entrepreneurs! ❤️
