👇👇👇 Neuroscience shows that relationships lasting decades are often built through repeated experiences of emotional safety. That’s what the SHAPE framework is built around: Share. Hear. Appreciate. Persist. Enjoy. Engaging in these behaviours consistently strengthens neural pathways linked to trust, allowing stress responses to soften and connection to grow.

Sometimes all it takes is standing in front of something vast and beautiful to remember that your worries aren’t the whole world. Save this as your reminder to seek out more moments that make you feel small in the best way 🙌

The 🧠 does not passively record reality. It is constantly using past experiences, expectations, and context to interpret incoming sensory information. That doesn’t mean reality is fake or “all in your head.” But it does mean that two people can experience the same situation differently because their brains are prioritising and predicting different things. Take this as a reminder that your brain is always learning what to look for, so be intentional about what you repeatedly direct your attention toward 🙌

👇👇👇 A nonlinear path doesn’t always mean you’re lost. Finding your passion can come with confusion, guilt, and fear that you’re making the wrong choices. Try to enjoy the process. It may be leading you somewhere important 🙌!

👇👇👇 Most people don’t realise they’re burnt out until it starts changing how they live their day. You feel overwhelmed by things that used to feel manageable, put off tasks that normally wouldn’t take much effort, withdraw more than usual, and need more recovery while somehow feeling less restored. And it’s confusing, because it doesn’t always feel like “burnout.” It can just feel like you’re not quite yourself. If you recognise yourself in this, there’s nothing wrong with you. There is probably a reason your body is reacting this way, and instead of blaming yourself for it, it may be worth asking what has been too much for too long. Take this as a gentle check-in and a reminder to take care of yourself 🤍

Noticing this in your relationship? Every relationship has difficult moments. What’s important is how you come back from them. Let this be the beginning of doing things differently 🤍

👇👇👇 Most people don’t lack clarity. They just apply it to everyone else… except themselves. You’d see it instantly if it was your friend. But when it’s you, it becomes less obvious and you start making excuses. These three rules are about closing that gap. Hold yourself to the same standard of care, honesty, and protection you give the people you love 🧡 & save this as your reminder 🫶🏻

👇 A short fuse rarely comes out of nowhere. It usually builds over time. Before you judge the reaction, look at what’s been building underneath. A few things that can help: Notice your patterns. When is your patience lowest? Around certain people, situations, or times of day? Reduce your baseline load. Sleep, overstimulation, lack of breaks, and constant pressure all matter. Name what you need. Space, support, clarity, food, rest, boundaries. Catch it earlier. The goal isn’t to never react. It’s to get better at noticing the triggers before you reach the edge. You’re not “just reactive.” There is usually something underneath worth paying attention to

I’m a psychologist, and this is something I see often: People dismiss their own depression because they’re still functioning. They’re working, maybe been socialising, keeping things together so it doesn’t “count” in their mind. But if you’ve been feeling persistently low, flat, disconnected or irritable and it’s affecting your wellbeing, it is worth taking seriously. You don’t have to wait until things get worse to get support. Talk to someone you trust, or reach out to a mental health professional. Getting help earlier often makes a significant difference 🤍

spent 5 days in a Buddhist monastery… and this stayed with me: “Focus less on what you get, more on what you give.” We often chase outcomes. Money Praise Status But your brain adapts fast, what excites you today becomes normal tomorrow. Shift to contribution, and something changes: more focus, more meaning, often better results. There’s also biology behind it. When you fixate on outcomes you can’t control, your brain stays in threat mode. Less creativity. More pressure. Purpose works differently. It stabilises you. So ask yourself: What do I want to get? And what do I want to give? The monks would say: listen to the second one.
