âđ»After a long and necessary break to focus on my life outside the screens, I'm back to continue this series about the 8 limbs of yoga, organized and documented by Patanjali.
It's important to mention that this path is specific to one lineage, but it's not the only one. When we finish this series, I will bring more content about Ta**ra yoga philosophy, also aligned to Hatha Yoga, a lineage that I started studying more recently, but that resonates with me a lot.
đ«The fourth step is Pranayama - conscious breathing. You're breathing all the time, but do you feel you're breathing? Have you ever stopped and watched the rhythm of your breath? If itâs fast or slow, deep or shallow, hot or cold, does your belly move, does your chest expand, do the nostrils feel the air going in and out?
đ§đ»There are many details that we don't notice when we are breathing. Bringing attention to them is breathing consciously, that's what brings us to the present moment. In the next posts I'll bring some examples for you to try practicing Pranayamas at home too :)
