Transactional relationships are based in conditional logic- ‘If I do this > then they’ll do/feel this’

None of the behaviors in the prior post are necessarily good/bad or right/wrong…
It’s more important that your actions are aligned with YOUR OWN needs wants and desires- you’re doing these things because you want to.

Even if these things are unnatural for you- are you consciously ok with trying these out- for you? Are you connected when you engage in these behaviors? If you are, then you’re aligned.

Explore the norms informing your ‘checklist’ of how to be in relationship🙌🏽🔥❤️

How do you manage the awful, harsh, berating thoughts that come@ip in your head when you have mismatched libidos with your partner?🤔

1. Your body knows first- so ground, regulate, connect to your body
(Check out my prior posts on how to do this and I’ll make some more)

2. Challenge these thoughts with the aim of NEUTRALIZING/DEPOWERING these thoughts, rather than just spinning them positive or trying to ‘let them go’

These two steps integrate somatic and cognitive- behavioral techniques

If it were only that easy…but alas it’s not

This comment in response to my video explaining that You Can’t MAKE your partner or**sm, love you or change- exemplifies a common assumption in relationships that foster transactional, conditional s*x.

Wawa—who wants transactional s*x??🤔

I’ve definitely experienced it and don’t want to swim in those waters again!

When we relinquish control/power over our partner’s emotions, experiences and actions- this liberates us to FULLY control our own as well. This is the pathway to living aligned with your needs wants and desires. This is the cornerstone to what I mean when I say:
Self-Pleasure is the Best Pleasure

YOU are in control of YOUR experience- no one MAKES you do or feel anything…

When we relinquish perceived power over another’s actions/emotions/experiences— we ASSUME power over our own.

Your beliefs about your s*xuality are YOURS!

As we mature, we each get to decide- consciously, what we believe and how we want to connect to our body.

Perceiving connecting with your body as a sin is a common thought.

I’m not trying to challenge religious beliefs, but instead encourage you to explore your beliefs and examine how they fit into your life NOW. Many norms around s*xuality have been taught and just told as truths/facts- without much exploration to how these beliefs fit within ones’ own beliefs system.

What norms are controlling your self-pleasure??

You get to believe whatever YOU want to believe…take a moment to check the WHY behind your beliefs.

Many beliefs around s*xuality are based on myths, not facts. Now, even if you believe in a myth, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The important point I’m making is that YOU believe in YOUR belief- and you’re not just believing what you’ve been taught, shamed or guilted into.

So take a moment and check-in about your beliefs around self-pleasure.

This is what contributes to performance anxiety…

Generalizations like this foster expectations and pressure around s*x that detract from actual connection.

I know/hope he’s trying to be funny…but this ‘man up’ attitude doesn’t help
