Send this to someone who's about to start.

Week one — the heavy feeling lifts. Less bloating after meals. You stop finishing the day full.

Week two is the week most people quit. It's also the week it starts working.

Week three — sleep gets easier. Falling asleep takes less time, and you wake before the alarm at least once.

Week four — it stops feeling like a diet and starts being how you eat.

Save this and check back at the end of each week.

The four-week reset walks through all of it — link on the profile.

Send this to whoever buys herbs without knowing what they actually do.

Burdock, yellow dock, sarsaparilla, elderberry and hydrangea root come up constantly in alkaline circles, usually with a promise attached.

So this one does the opposite. Each slide gives you the traditional use, what is actually inside the plant, and then the honest part: what the human evidence does and does not show.

On blood pressure specifically, the answer for every one of these is the same. The clinical evidence is not there. Traditional use is not the same thing as proven treatment.

There is also what to watch for: oxalates in yellow dock, raw elderberry, and the kidney claims that get attached to hydrangea root.

None of this replaces medical care. If you are on blood pressure medication, that is a conversation with your doctor, not a carousel.

Save this before your next herb order.

50+ herbs with their traditional uses are in the Ackaline app, on iOS and Android.

Send this to someone who fasts for faith, not for weight.

Moses, forty days on the mountain — Exodus 34:28.

Elijah, forty days to Horeb — 1 Kings 19:8.

Jesus, forty days in the wilderness — Matthew 4:2.

Not one of them was doing it to lose weight. A fast shows you what you reach for: comfort, boredom, habit, the 3pm reach.

Save this for the next time you fast.

The window and the food list both live on the profile.

Send this to whoever cooks in your house.

Garlic is the one people are most certain about, and it is a hybrid, so it is not on the alkaline guide.

Onion is. Same job in the pot, same shelf in the shop.

It is the swap that changes the least about how you cook and the most about what is on your list.

Save this for the next food shop.

Send this to whoever's fasting but still feels rough afterwards.

The window is the easy part. Anyone can pick a time.

The first thing you eat afterwards does the real work — because you're hungry, and you'll reach for whatever's closest.

What to reach for first: key lime in warm water before anything else, then soft jelly coconut, then mango or papaya. Seeded fruit, easy first.

That's the moment the food list matters.

Save this before your next fast.

Scan what's in your hand and get the alkaline swap — Ackaline, on iOS and Android.

Send this to the person who asks you why you fast.

It's called autophagy. It's how a cell breaks down its own worn-out parts and reuses the material.

In 2016 Yoshinori Ohsumi was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for working out how it happens.

Going without food for a stretch shifts the nutrient-sensing pathways involved in that process. How strongly that happens in people, and at exactly what hour, is still being studied — anyone giving you a precise number hasn't read the research.

What you can actually notice: lighter mornings, a steadier afternoon, less heaviness after meals.

Save this for the next time someone quotes you an exact hour.

The window, and what to break it with, are on the profile.

Share this with whoever buys the seedless grapes.

A seed is how a plant makes another plant.

Take the seed out and you're left with something that can't reproduce itself. The guide treats a missing seed as the signature of a plant that was bred rather than found.

So it splits fruit in two — seeded stays, seedless goes.

And it isn't only fruit. 94 foods on the guide, 22 off it, every one with a reason.

Save this for the fruit aisle.

Send this to whoever says they could never fast.

12:12 — the starting shape. Dinner at 7pm, eat again at 7am. Most people are already close to this without trying.

14:10 — the one that sticks.

16:8 — the common one. Dinner at 7pm, first food at 11am. The one most people mean when they say they're fasting.

18:6 — the narrow one. Pick the window you can hold, not the one that sounds impressive.

Save this and pick yours.

The app holds the clock and the food list for when you break it — profile link.
