The key to freeing the body from illness, aches, and pain lies within our lymphatic system — a dynamic network of vessels and organs that work together to get rid of waste, toxins, and excess fluids that your body doesn’t need. Lymphatic fluid flows through lymph vessels, which connect lymph nodes. As it passes through the lymph nodes, white blood cells trap and eliminate harmful particles. Like blood in the circulatory system, lymphatic fluid is always moving. However, when it becomes inflamed, sluggish, or clogged, it can lead to chronic health issues, such as frequent infections with prolonged recovery times, digestive issues, fatigue, muscular stiffness, recurrent headaches, skin discoloration, and the list goes on. Learning how to actively support our lymphatic system is essential for maintaining lasting health and vitality.

In our new course Science-Based Lymphatic Drainage Rescue, join Dr. Jennifer Ashby, DAOM to learn how to create and maintain a healthy lymphatic system. Blending Western science and Eastern medicine, you’ll learn evidence-based practices to enhance your lymphatic function to aid in healthy circulation and stimulate drainage, leading to improved energy, immunity, and overall vitality. The Knees Hold Toxins

The legs can have poor circulation because of gravity and compounded by time spent sitting in chairs. Behind the knee can hold toxins and stagnant energy. Slapping at the back of the knees can break up these toxins.

Massaging behind and at the sides of the knees can stimulate energy flow in the knees and lower extremities. Once toxins are broken free and moving, they can be eliminated through the urinary bladder, large intestine, or the sweat glands.

We can also stimulate circulation by massaging the feet, ankles, and toes. Slapping the feet at the Kidney-1 point (at the balls of the feet), squeezing and pulling the toes can bring energy and blood to the lower extremities.
