We are an informal support group for MOMS / DADS / FAMILY MEMBERS, who have a child, young adult child & older who have a developmental disability, mental health issues, physically challenged challenges. Most schools / agencies provide support during the day, most of us are not able to attend. Currently, we meet at a local diner once a month in the evening on a Friday Night, the south shore. My id
ea is to seek a location for our future get-together's, for it well provide more privacy. At times, I would like to have a special guest join us who can provide different resources of experiences with their personal / professional insight, whether it may provide information in reference to the budget cuts / services / therapies / support...but always on an informal level. Most agencies provide these supports but its rarely in the evenings, and on the south shore.
