Not everyone is meant to understand me.

And I used to waste so much time wishing they would.

And for a long time… that used to make me anxious.

I would overthink everything.
Replay conversations.
Wonder what people thought.
Try to control how I was perceived.

I would over explain
Soften my tone.
Dimmed my ambition.

Trying to make myself smaller so I'd be easier to accept.
It was exhausting.

Imagine the time I could get back.

The energy.
The peace.
The confidence.

A wise soul once told me:

Be here. In the now.

Reading The Power of Now deepened it.

I can’t control how people interpret me.
I can only control how I show up.

So I started protecting my energy.
Regulating my nervous system.

So now I pay attention to what sets my soul on fire.
What makes me smile.
And I stay there.

And I want better for you.

Less anxiety.
Less overthinking.
More presence.
More power.

Not everyone is meant to understand you.
