Just got quoted $600 to close up what looks like a small gap, and I'll admitโit caught me off guard.
At first glance, it seems like a quick patch and finish job, not something that would cost several hundred dollars. I even joked that maybe I should just pay by the hour.
But now I'm wondering if there's more involved than what I'm seeing. Is there hidden prep work, multiple trips, materials, or specialized finishing that drives the price up?
For those with construction or drywall experience, does $600 sound reasonable for a repair like this, or would you be shopping around for another quote?
