Something I've been sitting with this week that feels worth sharing professionally too...
I posted about trauma being an explanation, not an excuse and a line sister reached out to me. We don't talk often...life lol...but she made it a point to find me and tell me that it affected her and then she shared it on her page.
I sat with that for a long time because I have to be honest...I have been inconsistent on social media for years. Not because I didn't have anything to say, but because I was afraid of being visible, of opening myself up to criticism and of what it might cost me to actually be seen.
What that fear cost me and those around me is that they do not get the chance to benefit from what I carry. Even if she was the only person who took something away from that post, that meant more to me than anything else last week. I don't want to be so stuck in my own fear that the people around me never get what God put me here to give. So I'm showing up imperfectly and consistently. If there's something in you that someone else needs, don't let fear be the reason they never get it.
