Around the world of Clubhouse! This month we're in India!

One of the strengths of the Clubhouse movement is the connection between communities around the world. Recently, Rita Larrañaga, Executive Director of Casa del Paraná in Argentina, experienced that connection firsthand when she visited SEVAC Mental Health Facility & SEVAC Clubhouse of India, the only Clubhouse in India.

While traveling, Rita knew she wanted to visit a Clubhouse. When she arrived at SEVAC, she was welcomed like family. She shared a meal with members and staff, learned about their community, and enjoyed traditional cultural performances.

Reflecting on the visit, Rita shared:

"Anywhere in the world—whether in South America or South Asia—we are not alone!"

This is the power of our global Clubhouse community. Different cultures and communities can come together through a shared commitment to recovery, connection, and belonging.

Congratulations to Last Mile Health on being selected as the 2026 recipient of the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation Humanitarian Prize!

As a fellow Hilton Prize laureate, Clubhouse International understands how meaningful this recognition can be. The Prize has played an important role in in increasing visibility of our mission and helping more people understand the positive impact of community-based approaches to recovery.

Last Mile Health’s commitment to bringing essential healthcare to communities that are too often beyond the reach of traditional health systems is inspiring. Through its partnerships with governments and support of more than 20,000 community health workers, the organization is helping expand access to care for millions of people across Ethiopia, Liberia, Malawi, and Sierra Leone.

We are happy to welcome Last Mile Health to the Hilton Prize community. Congratulations to the entire Last Mile Health team!

Congratulations to Connections House in California on earning Clubhouse International Accreditation!

This achievement reflects the dedication of the entire Connections House community.

Director Samantha Miller shared that while the Clubhouse is incredibly proud of its Accreditation, she is especially excited about the momentum it has created. “Every day we see recovery, purpose, and connection come to life through the work we do together.”

Clubhouse International Faculty member Kailey Fiedler-Gohlke also highlighted the strength of the Connections House community, noting its incredible membership and strong outreach efforts.

Accreditation is more than a milestone. It is an opportunity for Clubhouses to reflect on their practices, celebrate their strengths, and continue growing stronger together.

Congratulations, Connections House! We’re excited to see all that comes next.

So great to show Clubhouse International - ICCD's Chief Operating Officer, Jack Yatsko and his family a little bit of Bangor and our Clubhouse today. Thanks for stopping in!

Everyone deserves a place where they feel valued and understood.

A Clubhouse is a community where people show up for one another and build lives filled with purpose.

No matter where you are in your recovery journey, you don't have to do it alone.

Clubhouses are powerful voices 📣 for their communities.

Recently, Austin Clubhouse joined nonprofit partners and community leaders to advocate for continued investment in essential social services that support people living with mental illness and others across Central Texas.

Although Austin Clubhouse does not currently receive City of Austin funding, many of its members rely on community services alongside the support they receive through the Clubhouse. By standing with local partners, the Clubhouse helped amplify the importance of protecting resources that promote stability, recovery, and opportunity.

Thank you to Austin Clubhouse for demonstrating how Clubhouses can be strong advocates not only for their members, but also for healthier, more connected communities.

New research highlights the impact of the Clubhouse Model.

A recently published study in the Journal of Psychosocial Rehabilitation and Mental Health examined the experiences of 16 members at Mosaic Clubhouse in London, England to better understand how the Clubhouse Model supports recovery.

The study found that members consistently described the Clubhouse as providing stability and well-being, leading to a true sense of belonging.

Participants shared that being part of the Clubhouse community helped them build confidence and move forward in their recovery.

Congratulations to Mosaic Clubhouse on contributing to this important research. Studies like this continue to strengthen the evidence for community-based mental health support and the life-changing impact of the Clubhouse Model.

"I never have to explain myself when I am here."

Those words from Galveston Clubhouse member Marissa capture what the Clubhouse Model is all about: creating a community where people are welcomed, understood, and supported.

Since opening in 2024, the Clubhouse has already helped many individuals and integrated with the local community.

Galveston County Clubhouse has welcomed 88 members, helped 26 members secure permanent housing, supported 20 members in finding long-term employment, and assisted 14 members in pursuing college courses. Through strong partnerships with local organizations and the University of Texas Medical Branch, members continue to benefit from expanded wellness, employment, and educational opportunities.

The Clubhouse is planning to attend Comprehensive Training this year and to apply for accreditation in 2027. We look forward to our continued work together!
