NYLCA’s ATLAS program helps Medicaid families access in-person lactation care that would otherwise be out of reach. This vital, self-funded program relies on donations, and we are at risk of exhausting funds before the end of the fiscal year.

Please consider making a donation to help us continue supporting New York families. If you’re not able to give, sharing this message can help us reach someone who can.

We help New Yorkers feed their babies! We took our slogan literally and put our money where our mouth is. We created and self-funded dollars that are set aside for our families with public insurance (Medicaid).

The New York Lactation Consultant Association Equity and Diversity Scholarship was created to open doors for BIPOC aspiring IBCLCs and help build a lactation workforce that truly reflects and uplifts our communities. We believe every family deserves high-quality, culturally responsive lactation care—and that representation matters in every feeding journey.

This scholarship supports that mission by covering the initial IBCLC exam fee for eligible candidates.
Applications are now opened to New York residence. Good luck. 🍀

At NYLCA, we uplift and support both current and future IBCLCs who enrich lactation care with diverse and meaningful voices. This week, we’re honored to spotlight one of our IBCLC students and share her heartfelt journey

“My passion for lactation has always been a part of me as a doctor, but it truly blossomed when I had my daughter. Experiencing the beauty and challenges of breastfeeding firsthand inspired me to become a Lactation Consultant, so I can walk alongside other moms and families on this journey.”
Representation matters. Support matters. Together, we’re building a more inclusive future in lactation care.”
