I took this video a few years ago with no intention of ever sharing it.
Mostly, I was creating a memory for myself of this moment, when I was about to close one of my diets…
I can remember all of my diets clearly… it’s funny because those who know me well know I don’t remember anything except for ceremonies.
I can tell you where I was, the plant I worked with, who was there, and what the diet was mainly about. They are all like little movies that I can replay in my mind.
This diet was a very special one because it wasn’t like the others.
This one felt different.
By this point, I felt like I had done enough exploration to know that this was my main path.
This was the diet where everything changed.
The plant teachers, and also my human teachers, gave me very clear instructions. Instructions that I will carry for life. Or for as long as I plan to work with my diets.
I remember knowing that this was a defining moment in my life. Even though I had explored other paths, I knew I was ultimately committing to this one.
I am not married to a human in this life, but this felt like getting married.
It felt like what I imagine getting married feels like.
During this diet, I dieted a new plant that I had never dieted before… but somehow felt I had always known in my dreams.
I love this path because it is one great mystery that continues to unfold yet can never be solved.
There are things that we can learn. But the more we know, and the more we see, the more we realize how much we will never know.
