👣 Does your heel hurt when you take your first steps in the morning?
For many patients, the cause is plantar fasciitis — one of the most common causes of heel pain.
Signs may include:
✔ Pain with your first steps in the morning
✔ Heel pain after sitting for long periods
✔ Tenderness along the bottom of the heel
✔ Heel pain that keeps coming back
Many patients notice symptoms after starting a new walking, exercise, or running routine. Wearing unsupportive footwear or repeated stress on the foot may make symptoms worse.
A heel spur does not necessarily mean surgery is needed. Many people with heel spurs never require surgery.
Recurring heel pain should not be ignored, especially if symptoms continue to return or begin affecting both feet.
