This morning at SCPM, Kelly Jo & Sandra had the opportunity to hear from representatives with the South Carolina Department on Aging. We’re grateful for community partnerships like these that help connect older adults and caregivers with valuable education, support, and resources. Working together to serve our senior community makes a difference.

Thank you Tori and Rene for sharing your knowledge and for all you do to advocate for seniors across our state. We encourage everyone to learn more about the helpful programs and services they offer:

In case you missed it, we wanted to share the webinar that our Community Liaison & Social Worker presented with SCDOA.

We’re thankful for the opportunity to partner with an organization that provides such valuable resources, education, and support for older adults, caregivers, and families across South Carolina.

Thank you to the South Carolina Department on Aging for allowing Bernardo Hospice Care to be part of the conversation and helping us continue to spread awareness and education in our community.

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

🩵 Meet Our Nurse: Briana🩺

• Years in nursing: 8️⃣

• Years in hospice: 7️⃣

•Favorite part of hospice: Being trusted to walk patients and families through one last journey of life-I love being able to take the fear and uncertainty that is usually present and turn it into moments of peace, comfort, and closure as patients transition to their forever home.

•One word that describes me: Tenacious

•Favorite snack/drink on the road: Charli with Cold Foam from Dunkin Donuts

•What inspires you most about hospice nursing: Your space to learn is never full-there is always room to grow and knowledge to gain.

•Fun fact about you: I can quote almost every line of every Harry Potter book/movie

•Advice for families/caregivers: Remember to give yourself grace along the way. This journey is literally once in a lifetime-and it can be heavy, emotional, and deeply personal. There will be moments where you question yourself, feel exhausted, or wonder if you’re doing enough. It’s important to remember that if you are trying, you are. Your presence, your love, and your willingness to simply be there and try is all your loved one could ask for…and always take an opportunity to say “I love you”-you will never regret it.

✨ Thank you, Briana, for the compassion and comfort you bring to our patients and families each day.
