My proof copy arrived today. ๐ŸŽ‰

Most advice for women in perimenopause is like taking painkillers for a tack in your foot โ€” it manages the symptom, but the stack is still there. This book is about pulling out the tack.

The Clear Head Plan is a root-cause nutrition and lifestyle guide for midlife women โ€” covering food, blood sugar, gut health, sleep, stress, and movement. Not just the why, but the how. Practical, connected, and grounded in nutrition science.

Coming soon to Amazon. Follow along โ€” I'll post the link the moment it's live.

Imagine taking painkillers every day for a tack thatโ€™s still stuck in your foot. ๐Ÿ“Œ

Thatโ€™s how we often treat perimenopause and menopause symptoms.

๐Ÿ˜ด Melatonin for sleep.๏ฟฝ
โ˜•๏ธ Coffee for energy.๏ฟฝ
๐Ÿท Wine for stress.๏ฟฝ
๐Ÿช Sugar to get through the afternoon.

Each one may take the edge off, but none of them gets to the root.

In midlife, symptoms are usually connected. ๐Ÿ”„

Poor sleep can drive cravings.๏ฟฝCravings can throw off blood sugar.๏ฟฝBlood sugar swings can affect mood.๏ฟฝAnd then everything feels harder.

Thatโ€™s why holistic nutrition looks at the pattern underneath the symptoms. ๐ŸŒฟ

You have more control over how you feel than you might think. ๐ŸŒฟ

Most women in midlife have tried doing the right things. Eating reasonably. Cutting back on sugar. Taking their supplements. And still feeling like something is just... off.

And here's the thing.

What you eat doesn't just fuel you โ€” it interacts with your hormones, your gut, your brain, your mood. All at the same time. And those interactions are different for every woman.

Take estrogen. Did you know your gut plays a direct role in how much estrogen stays in circulation in your body?

There are specific microbes in your gut โ€” called the estrobolome โ€” that help regulate whether used estrogen gets cleared or recycled back in. What influences those microbes? What you eat, how you sleep, your stress levels, alcohol, certain medications, inflammation. All of it shapes the environment your gut bacteria live in โ€” and that environment has a direct conversation with your hormones.

That gut-hormone connection is exactly the kind of thing holistic nutrition looks at.

My job isn't to diagnose or treat any medical condition. It's to take a whole body approach โ€” look at your health history, your symptoms, your lifestyle โ€” find the patterns, and recommend evidence based nutrition and lifestyle tools that are known to support the body in finding its own balance.

Nutrition is a big part of that picture. But not the full picture.

If that approach resonates with you โ€” I'd love to hear what you're dealing with. Drop it in the comments or send me a message. ๐Ÿ‘‡

Why do two women the same age, eating the same diet, feel completely different?

Food interacts with your hormones, your gut, your stress levels โ€” and those are different for every woman.

The estrobolome is one example of exactly that. Swipe to see how. ๐ŸŒฟ

Have you ever felt like nutrition advice that works for others just doesn't work for you? ๐Ÿ‘‡

Mid-morning anxiety, irritability, shakiness, or brain fog may be connected to how you started the day.

It may not be only stress or hormones.

Coffee with something sweet โ€” or coffee with nothing at all โ€” can make blood sugar less reliable a few hours later.

Try a real breakfast for one week:

Protein first + a little fiber-rich carb + healthy fat.
Eggs with avocado and berries.
Leftover chicken with sweet potato and olive oil.

Then notice what happens around 11 a.m.

Your brain may have been asking for better fuel. ๐Ÿง

Hey stranger. ๐Ÿ‘‹ Yeah, I know โ€” I've been gone a while. But I have a good reason.

Two and a half years ago I went back to school. And it changed everything about how I think about health.
I'm back. I'm building my practice. And I'm here specifically for women in midlife.

More to come โ€” and I think you're going to like it.

Tell me in the comments: what's the topic most on your mind right now in this stage of life? Iโ€™d love to know. ๐Ÿ‘‡
