💜🍋 What an incredible day supporting the Alzheimer's Association during The Longest Day! 🍪🎟️

While the weather required us to pivot from our planned car wash fundraiser, our residents, families, team members, community partners, and friends came together to make the day a tremendous success. We hosted an indoor lemonade stand, cookie sale, and gift basket raffle, with all proceeds benefiting the Alzheimer's Association and its mission to advance research, provide care and support, and work toward a world without Alzheimer's disease.

We are especially grateful to our community partners for their support, generosity, and commitment to helping us raise awareness and funds for this important cause. Together, we demonstrated the power of community and the impact we can make when we unite behind a shared mission.

Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and helped make this event meaningful. The spirit, generosity, and compassion on display were truly inspiring!

💙 Celebrating Our Amazing Care Team! 💙

This past week, we were honored to celebrate our dedicated Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants, and Registered Medication Aides during National CNA Week!

Throughout the week, our team enjoyed a variety of appreciation events, including self-care kits, mystery raffles, treat bags, a catered Mexican luncheon, and other special surprises as a small token of gratitude for the extraordinary care, compassion, and commitment they provide to our residents every day.

We are incredibly thankful for each member of our care team, the faces pictured and those behind the scenes, who make a difference in the lives of our residents and families. Please join us in recognizing and celebrating these remarkable professionals for all they do!

🎉 Congratulations to Our New Registered Medication Aides! 🎉

During our National CNA Week Celebration, we were honored to recognize three exceptional caregivers—Melody (not pictured), Candice, and Caitlin—for successfully completing the Retirement Unlimited Incorporated Registered Medication Aide (RMA) Program and passing their Virginia State Board examinations!

This accomplishment reflects their dedication to providing exceptional care and their commitment to continued professional growth. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and excited to see them continue to flourish in their careers at The Hidenwood.

As a special gift to celebrate this milestone, each received a nursing bag stocked with professional essentials, including a stethoscope, pulse oximeter, manual blood pressure cuff, notebook, and pocket drug guide.

Our residents enjoyed an interactive RUI University class led by the Virginia Living Museum, where they learned about various animals and their habitats. 🦎✨

The best part? Getting to see and even hold some amazing creatures! 🐢🐍 A big thank you to the Virginia Living Museum for this experience. We can't wait for more fun learning adventures! 🌍💚

During our May Team Member Town Hall Meeting, we were proud to recognize Candice Ricks, Caregiver, as our 2nd Quarter Team Member WOW Moment Award recipient! 🎉

Candice was awarded an exciting iFLY experience package featuring two flights, along with photos and videos to capture the memories, as well as a gift card to enjoy a spa day, shopping spree, or dinner at a restaurant of her choice.
