There are actual differences in Vitamin D and D3. Here are a few. But basically Vitamin D3 tends to be more bioavailable. Your provider can check your vitamin D and low levels of Vitamin D are very common even in areas that get plenty of sun!

I stepped away from social media because everything became too much - losing my dad, contract time for the practice, just stuff. Took a family vacation and then it became too easy to not be engaged, but I miss the interaction and sharing natural tips for you and your kids. I have a lot of things coming up that will hopefully help with back to school and fall coming up!

Nobody told you the truth about behavioral health and your child. 🧠

The standard of care isn’t the absence of symptoms. It’s — can your child get through a school day? Can they regulate well enough to have friendships? Can your family eat a meal together without it falling apart?

That’s what we’re working toward. Functional improvement. Quality of life.

If you’ve been waiting for your child to be “fixed” — you’ve been measuring the wrong thing.

The goal is a child with better tools. Not a perfect child. đź’™

Sometimes the things you leave out because you don’t want to feel like you are being judged can be the most important bits of info.

Your child’s screen time isn’t just a behavior problem. It’s a dopamine problem. And there’s a clinical difference. 🧠

Every notification, every level won, every surprising scroll — that’s a dopamine hit. And the brain starts to crave it.

The result? Real life starts to feel boring. Sitting at dinner, doing homework, playing outside — none of it can compete neurologically. That’s not your child being difficult. That’s an overstimulated dopamine system.

Here’s what actually helps:
âś… Screen-free mornings before school
âś… No devices in the hour before bed
âś… Physical movement daily
âś… Meals together without screens

And here’s what most parents don’t know — the gut-brain axis plays a direct role in dopamine regulation. A depleted gut means a more vulnerable system. Which is why I address both.

You’re not failing as a parent. You’re both running on empty. When we support the gut-brain connection, everything shifts — moods, sleep, patience. For them AND for you.
