I’ve already started going through my different spaces and pulling together items to donate for our Raising Kin Foundation Community Yard Sale on September 26th! 🛍️💛

There will be so many great finds to look forward to, including home décor, household items, clothing, accessories, small furniture, office items, beauty/self-care items, and plenty of unexpected treasures!

🧠 Did you know? Simple connect-the-dots activities can be great brain exercise for older adults!

Connecting dots helps support hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, concentration, visual tracking, number recognition, and problem-solving. It also gives participants a sense of accomplishment when they see the finished picture come together.

At Rosewell Adult Day Center, we believe meaningful activities can be both fun and mentally stimulating. Every dot connected is another opportunity to keep the mind and hands active! ❤️

💡 DID YOU KNOW?

Sometimes people can lose or have difficulty with the ability to recognize and interpret emotions in others. This can happen with changes in memory, cognition, neurological conditions, brain injuries, or simply as certain skills become less frequently used.

Activities that involve identifying facial expressions—such as happy, sad, angry, surprised, confused, or afraid—can help exercise the brain and strengthen emotional recognition skills.

At Rosewell Adult Day Center, cognitive activities can be more than just games. They can help participants practice social awareness, communication, attention, memory, and understanding the emotions of others.

My manager showed our Golden Girls this flyer and Ms. C said that looks like my shirt! 😂😂😂… The other Golden Girl Ms. W said girl you are good at this stuff. They are always cheering one another on. Too cute!

Care that’s personal. Expertise that makes a difference.

At Rosewell Adult Day Center, our Nurse Practitioner–driven program provides an added level of clinical insight, monitoring, and care coordination for adults who may benefit from more than traditional daytime supervision.

Who may benefit?
• Adults with diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, COPD, and other chronic conditions
• Individuals with mild dementia or cognitive changes who benefit from structure, routine, and monitoring
• Adults living with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, or other mental health needs
• Individuals who need medication support, health monitoring, and early recognition of changes in condition
• Adults who may be at increased risk for ER visits or hospitalization without consistent support
• Families and caregivers who need a safe, structured day program with experienced clinical oversight

More than a day program — a higher standard of care.
