Did you know that Black communities have been commemorating Juneteenth since 1866 - despite it only being finally declared a federal holiday in 2021?

Today we want to recognize the resiliency of Black existence in a land where freedom was denied. As somatic therapists we study the embodied impact of trauma. We know that hate and oppression live out in the oppressor and the oppressed wreaking havoc on minds, bodies, spirit, and communities. We also know that liberation is a healing salve!

Thank you to the kiddos & their caregivers for joining us last weekend during our last Caregiver & Me Nervous System Regulation Co-lab til the fall!
Whether their favorite part is posing their person in silly positions or cotton ball fun in the back corner or learning how to share where they feel an emotion, fun is had at every station.
There’s always something new to learn even if you’ve been before.
