According to a report from the State of the States in Developmental Disabilities, about 72% of adults with IDD live with a family caregiver, and 24% of those caregivers are over the age of 60.

As the caregiver’s own needs increase, it’s critical to make plans for the individual in their care. Lakelyn Eichenberger, a gerontologist, caregiving advocate and member of Mosaic’s Board of Directors, offers three questions to start the conversation.
