Most women don’t have a list of every diet they’ve tried.

They have a feeling.

“I’ve failed so many times.”

But feelings aren’t data.

Writing everything down changes the way you see your own story.

You stop looking at one diet and start looking at the pattern.

If you’ve been trying to lose weight through perimenopause, I really encourage you to do this exercise before starting anything new.

You might notice things you’ve never noticed before.

❤️ Liat

My neighbor just dropped these off and I’m honestly not sure if it’s a gift or a challenge...

Beyond bake or air fry (which are my usuals), what would YOU make with these?

Drop it in the comments 👇

But can I tell you why I got a little too excited about a zucchini?

Because food like this is exactly how my clients eat A LOT... And still lose weight.

More on that in my next post... first, recipes. Go 👇

The last time you started a diet, you told exactly no one.

Not your husband or your best friend.

You just quietly started making different food on a Monday and hoped nobody would notice.

I’ve worked with more than 1,000 perimenopausal women, and many of them gave me the same explanation: “I have a motivation issue.”

But here’s what I see, though…

She shows up for everyone.
The kids get to their after-school activities.
Her parents make it to their appointments.
The work deadline gets met on five hours of sleep.

Nobody who knows her would ever call her unmotivated.
So why does the eating plan fall apart by Thursday?

Look at how she started.
In secret.

She didn’t tell anyone, so nobody knows she started.
She set it up so that if she stopped, life would just keep going.

It’s actually kind of smart when you think about it. It’s a self-protection after so many years of plans that failed. If nobody sees you start, nobody sees you stop.

But here’s the cost...

Look at all the commitments she actually keeps.
At work, people are counting on her.
Her kids expect her to be there.
Her parents are waiting for those appointments.

Someone is expecting her to show up.

The eating plan is different.
Nobody knows about it.

So when Thursday gets hard, it’s easy to tell yourself, “I’ll start again Monday.”

For years she’s called that a motivation problem.

I think she was missing accountability. Someone who simply knows she’s doing this.

Here’s the part she doesn’t know yet...
When the food is right, her body starts responding within days. Five, to be exact.

She sleeps better.
She stops crashing every afternoon.
She starts feeling the difference before motivation even has a chance to disappear.

That’s why I ask women to do one thing before we even talk about food.
Tell someone.
Raise your hand.
Don’t do this alone.
Sometimes that’s all it takes to keep going long enough for your body to start giving something back.

Here’s your challenge today:
Tell one person what you’re starting and when.
One sentence.
“I’m changing how I eat. Ask me about it on Friday.”

It’s a tiny step.
But it might be the one thing you’ve never tried.

Your body isn’t sitting there thinking, “You know what? Let’s make her hungry every two hours today.”

It’s responding to the environment you’ve given it.

One of the coolest things about the human body is that it already knows how to make GLP-1. You don’t have to manufacture it (or prescribe it). But you have to support it.

That’s why I rarely obsess over calories first.

I’m looking at what’s on your plate, how your meals are put together, when you’re eating, and what’s happening in your gut.

Those are the conversations that actually move the needle for women in perimenopause. (Faster than you can even imagine).

This is also why so many women tell me, “I can’t believe I’m eating this much and I’m actually less hungry.”

Your body is incredibly smart. Sometimes it just needs the right signals.

Comment ENERGY if this sounds like you, and I’ll send you my Perimenopause Weight Loss Blueprint.

It’s the exact way of eating I give my clients to get their energy back and the weight moving in perimenopause. 💜

Random thought…

If your goal is to lose weight, get stronger, get off medication, or simply feel like yourself again… you’re allowed to want that!

Dream big. Then build a plan that gets you there. ❤️

The biggest mistake I see women make is assuming they hate working out.

Most don’t.

They hate putting in the effort and feeling like nothing is changing.

Imagine going to the gym three or four times a week for months. You’re sore, you’re showing up, you’re doing everything you think you’re supposed to do.

And the scale barely moves.

At some point your brain stops thinking, “I should go.”

It starts thinking, “What’s the point?”

That’s why I spend so much time helping my clients get their nutrition right first.

When your body starts responding, motivation becomes a whole lot less important because you’re finally getting feedback that what you’re doing is working.

Drop a line (LEAN) and I’ll send you the first place I’d start.

How to eat at every 4th of July BBQ without guilt, overeating, and without “starting over Monday.”

If you’re already planning to “be good” this weekend, I know you’re doing it because you think you’re balancing things out.

I get it.

But every year I watch that exact plan set women up to fail… restrict all day, arrive starving, overeat, and end the night with guilt over foods you never intended to eat.

These 4 holiday eating mistakes show up at every BBQ, pool day, and summer party. Each one has a release.
Swipe through, then SAVE this so you have it Saturday morning.

And send it to the perimenopausal friend hosting the BBQ, she needs it more than anyone.

If you’re done white-knuckling every holiday, this is the exact skill set we build inside Lean for Life.

I opened 10 slots specially for the 4th of July. The first 10 people to grab one end the summer better than they started it.

Link in bio.

What I didn’t have time to say in the video:

The market changing is the small part of this story.

In over 10 years of doing this work, the pattern I see again and again is what happens inside the woman making those tiny decisions.

The body starts functioning better, the mental clarity returns, and she finally sees her life clearly (the relationship, the job, the way she’s been showing up).

The cravings calm down.
The energy goes up and lasts longer.
The belly gets flatter.
And the weight loss starts happening as a side effect of the body functioning better again.

It all starts with one tiny decision. Then another.
