To My Clients
By Amanda Ruddick
When you enter through our doors,
Leave your worries on the floor.
This space was made for you to rest,
To simply breathe and be your best.
Don’t worry if you missed a shave,
Or if your hair won’t quite behave.
If jewelry stayed or makeup’s on,
I promise, those thoughts can all be gone.
Please don’t apologize again and again.
Not for your body. Not for your skin.
Not because life got busy today,
Or you came to us just as you are.
If your arm needs lifting, let it be.
If your leg needs moving, leave that to me.
If your head should turn, don’t lend a hand—
Just trust the guidance of mine instead.
For healing begins when you finally release
The need to control and simply find peace.
The softer you breathe, the deeper you melt,
The more your body can truly be helped.
Your stretch marks, your scars, your curves, your size,
The tears you hold behind your eyes—
None of these are things we judge.
They simply tell the story of a life you’ve lived.
So for this little while, let the world wait.
The dishes, the deadlines, the overwhelming weight.
You spend so much time caring for everyone else;
Now let someone care for you.
My hope is that every woman who walks through our doors
Leaves feeling lighter than when she came.
Not because she changed who she was,
But because, for just a little while,
She remembered she was worthy of rest.
May you leave feeling peaceful.
May you leave feeling renewed.
May you leave knowing you never needed to apologize.
You were enough the moment you walked in.
