Long overdue photo update!
Many things are now blooming in the field! One of my absolute favorites-delphinium-are in their June prime. I joke that I really just want to turn this into a delphinium farm. šŸ¤£
The heat and lack of rain over the past few weeks has been tough on the plants, and on me too. So thankful for the recent cool down and rains!

I have been trying to finish planting for the season. It has been slow with a baby, but I am nearly done!

Our spring bouquet subscription is almost done, the June subscription is underway, and we are looking forward to the summer one! (A few spots still available for Northfield or farm pickup!).

The past two weeks have been all about ranunculus! I can never pick a favorite flower, but ranunculus has to be up there with its layers of petals and wonderful vase life.

All in allā€¦many flowers leave the farm every week. Some for events, but most are ending up being enjoyed on kitchen tables, nightstands, coffee tables, and anywhere our lovely customers want to see snd smell them! That makes me so happy!

Tulips are worth it!!! I think...šŸ˜†

Tulips are almost over (don't worry subscription members, I have more for you!) and in the thick of it, things can get a little hairy!

It can be hard in the middle of tulip season to slow down and enjoy their beauty. This year I made sure to bring some in for myself to enjoy. They really are so beautiful!

The tulip harvest is looking good, so I am opening up Mother's Day bouquet preorders on our website! These are for pickup on our farm on May 8th and May 9th. Our farm is located 15 mins W of Northfield, 5 mins E of Lonsdale, or 15 mins S of Lakeville. All the details are on our website!

I am excited for all the moms to get these beautiful and bright tulip bouquets!

Weā€™ve been kind of quiet on hereā€¦because weā€™re so busy outside! This time of year is a planting frenzy! We have a short growing season in Minnesota, so once it is time to plant, we need to get everything in the ground, fast!
What have we been doing?

Planting, see above ^
Weeding the perennial beds
Mulching shrubs
Various building projects
Last minute ordering
Plants arriving in the mail
Waking up dahlia tubers
Lots of emailing
Updating the website

And non flower related:
Baby chicks arriving
Pigs arriving
Tilling the veggie garden
Cutting up trees that fell during the winter

No wonder we are so tired when we go to bed late at night!! šŸ¤£ And so sore!šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«

Spring subscriptions will be closing soon, so if you want to get in on that, hop to it! The first bouquet in the spring subscription will be ready for your mom on the Friday after Mother's Day!

Weeding has already started on the farm. I find it an enjoyable chore at firstā€¦then it quickly becomes one of the least pleasant and annoying, right up there with pest control. šŸ˜– Nevertheless, it needs to be done!
