A New Season 🌿
This is a bittersweet post to write.
Over the past few years, it has been one of the greatest honors of my life to walk alongside families during pregnancy, labor, birth, and those sacred first moments of meeting their babies. Being invited into such intimate, life-changing moments as a birth doula and midwife assistant is something I will never take for granted. Every birth, every mama, every tiny new life has left an imprint on my heart.
But seasons change.
As many of you know, we recently welcomed our third sweet baby into our family. Becoming a mother to now THREE beautiful babies has shifted my heart and my priorities in the sweetest way. After much prayer and reflection, I’ve decided to step away from on-call birth work in this season… The unpredictable hours, sleepless nights, and being away from my own little ones are no longer where I feel God is calling me right now. My greatest calling in this season and in this life is to be present with my babies while they are still little.
While I may be stepping away from attending births, I will be shifting my focus towards booking limited lifestyle-photography shoots. Photography has always been another passion of mine, and I’m so excited to pour more of my heart into preserving the beautiful, fleeting moments that life hands us in photo’s.
Moving forward, I’ll be accepting a limited number of sessions including:
Maternity
Fresh 48
Newborn (not posed; more detail shots)
Family & Motherhood
Branding photography
Breastfeeding photography
My style is detail, natural, earthy, warm toned + vintage photos. I want your photos to feel like home—the quiet glances, the tiny fingers, the baby rolls, the growing bellies, the soft cries, the laughter, the love, and all the beautifully imperfect moments in between.
To every family who trusted me as your doula or birth assistant… thank you. Thank you for allowing me to witness some of the most sacred moments of your lives… and to be apart of those moments with you. I am forever changed in the BEST way possible. What an honor to have been called to the incredible families and fellow birth workers that I have been.
For now, I’m so excited to continue serving families in photography until the good Lord calls me back into the birth space.
