Miles Mull from Firelands Family Law was our guest speaker this morning. Miles shared valuable information about adoption, stepparent rights, grandparents’ rights, and visitation, helping us better understand some of the legal issues families can face.
What really stood out was Miles’ personal experience. Having gone through the adoption process himself—first being adopted by his father and later adopting his own son—he brings a unique level of understanding and compassion to his work.
Miles is committed to answering his clients’ questions, making sure they understand their options, and helping them feel comfortable throughout what can sometimes be a difficult and emotional process.

Pat provides personalized, one-on-one service, working directly with his clients throughout the entire real estate transaction. With 10 years of experience as a CPA and 4 years as a licensed real estate agent, Pat brings a unique financial perspective to helping his clients navigate the buying and selling process.
Pat answered a variety of questions about today’s real estate industry, including:
* Home maintenance: What repairs and maintenance items are most important to take care of to protect and improve your home’s resale value.
* Home upgrades: Which improvements can actually add value to your home—and which may not provide the return homeowners expect.
* Selling a home “as is”: Whether you can sell a home as is, what that means for the seller, and what buyers can expect.
* Short sales: What a short sale is, how the process works, and why short sales are not as common in today’s market.
Pat’s presentation provided valuable insight for both homeowners and anyone considering buying or selling a home. His combination of accounting experience and real estate knowledge gives his clients a valuable resource when making important real estate decisions.

Greg Patrick from Primerica was our speaker last week and delivered a great presentation on the importance of “time in the market, not timing the market.”
Greg demonstrated how investments can grow significantly when given more time to compound. One of the biggest takeaways was that starting early—even with smaller amounts—can potentially produce greater results over time than waiting until later in life and investing larger sums.
His presentation was a great reminder that the earlier you start planning and investing, the more time your money has to work for you. But it is never too late to start investing or have your financial portfoli reviewed. Call Greg to a consultation about your financial future.

Innovators was started by Sarah Reed to help kids in our community. She was our presenter on Friday morning and emphasized the many benefits offered by this program.

Future Innovators is a nonprofit STEM and robotics club helping students from 1st through 12th grade discover the exciting world of robotics, engineering, coding, and technology. Students gain hands-on experience designing and building robots while developing valuable skills in problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, and leadership.

Sarah is in need of more adults who would be willing to help a couple of hours a few times a week. A great prospect would be someone who has an electrical engineering background, or someone who truly enjoys spending time with kids.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 PM most weeks. Kids interested in the program are welcome to stop by and check it out. If you know a kid who enjoys playing video games or building things with Legos, this takes it to the next level!
